Product Description

Tripe is the stomach lining of the cow's fourth stomach, or abomassum. The abomassum is where the actual digestion of the grasses and grains the cow has ingested takes place. Green tripe contains the partially digested plant matter the cow had eaten as well as the naturally occurring gastric juices and digestive enzymes.

Anything that smells like actual dog food is out of the question - she won't touch it.

Will buy some more to add it to his regular Blue Buffalo Wilderness.

My dog likes it but the product description does not list carrageenan as an ingredient. Can label has carrageenan listed as an ingredient. I was looking for a green tripe food without carrageenan.

We have a new puppy Yorkie who has decided to be the most finicky eater on the planet. We have to continually mix up the types of foods we give her or she'll get "bored" with what we're feeding her. Anything that smells like actual dog food is out of the question - she won't touch it.

I've tried all types of kibble and wet dog foods and have had no luck, UNTIL I tried the Green Cow Tripe. It came as a suggestion from our obedience class teacher and I haven't been happier. Our Yorkie loves this dog food, and although many complain about its smell, I personally don't think it smells too much worse than other canned dog food.

Mixing up the canned tripe with other dog food, rice, some cottage cheese, etc. virtually guarantees an appetite.

Couldn't be happier - try it out if you have a picky eater.

Very disappointed with my purchase and will not buy again, nor would I recommend this product. Despite the pretty green label and the contents listing the green tripe as the number one ingredient, when I opened the can all I saw was pale brown contents and smelled little odor. This tells me the tripe was overlooked stripping the food of its exceptional nutritional value. If properly prepared, the continents should have been much darker and stinky. Amazon sells two brands of tripe. I'm going with the other as I have gotten confirmation from their customers that their product is indeed green tripe.

Mentioned to someone at the pet store about how my new Akita pup isn't taking to his crate so well. She recommended I get a can of this and put it in a crate and close the door with him outside. The pup was practically breaking the door down so let him in and he went to town. He loves the stuff. Phew a pretty potent smell so definitely not something I'd enjoy for breakfast ;). Will buy some more to add it to his regular Blue Buffalo Wilderness.

My dogs do like this brand, but recently my mom's dog was diagnosed with kidney failure so we needed a low to moderate protein food with no or low phosphorous. Green tripe is perfect for a dog in renal failure; however, this brand adds disodium phosphate which can't be given to dogs with kidney disease. Switched to Tripett and it is pure green tripe so it works perfectly. It is also bright green so the Solid Gold brand might now be raw or has too many added ingredients that turn it brown.

My Dogs have gone crazy for all of the different Tripe based canned foods. I often mix 1 can with a little kibble - gives them some variation and slows them down, otherwise they inhale it

rye oats wheat rice and barley are not part of a dogs evolutionaly history so why feed unnatural foods. Dogs are carnivors. Green Cow is a good value and will extend your pets healthy life. i started feeding green cow to my 13 year old Golden 18 months ago. this is my 7th golden and number 8 will get tripe from the start. also it should be noted that she gets 45 minutes of hard exercise daily. dont let age slow your pet down. if you have an older large dog with hind leg and back arthritis you may want to try Pyhcox, I double the recommended dose. my observation is these 2 products have decreased my pets pain and stiffness increased her muscle mass and improved her daily life.

My dog LOVES this tripe! I have tried other brands, but he loves the Solid Gold brand the best. He gets some of this mixed with his kibble a couple of times a week, and he gobbles it down. Great product!
