Editorial Reviews

Review

"Thoughtfully written, with a touch of humor. A insightful guide for the novice and more experienced backcountry travelers" -- V.R. White Oak, AR

From the Author

It seems like every time I went "solo" hiking, I would either run into people I knew from my associations with trail and environmental organizations, or curious fellow hikers who were sincerely concerned for my safety and well being. In every case I would try to explain why "solo" hiking was my preferred method of travel, and that I was well equipped and provisioned for my journey, and had years of experience to guide me safely. I wrote "SOLO SAFE!" to help those intrepid individuals that seek solitude in the backcounrty understand the scope of circumstances one may expect in the wilderness, and enjoy their adventures safely.

A Good common sense book. !! The Book gives information about the things a person needs to consider when going alone and covers it in enough detail to help make your outing safe. You can tell the recommendations are based on a lot of experience and common sense.I enjoyed this book very much and got a lot of pointers that will help . Also, I was impressed how fast the book was shipped(48 Hours) and received the book in less than a week after I ordered it. Highly Recommended.
