A major disappointment...,

This review is from: SOM Evolutions: Recent Work of Skidmore, Owings & Merill (Hardcover)
I work in the Chicago office of SOM, and I gotta say that this book is a major disappointment. Key projects (past and present) have been left out, there are virtually no interiors projects shown (a nearly criminal act; since SOM defined the practice of interior architecture), and the photos are positively horrible.Grainy, out of focus, and poorly framed - the photos are the worst part about the book. You won't believe just how bad they are until you see them. I would strongly recommend the new book "Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP - Architecture and Urbanism 1995-2000" published by Images Publishing. I have every single book every published on SOM's work, and this is the most stunning. It's brand new though, and might not yet be widely available.

This book is very poorly produced. It looks like it was all run off a copy machine. The reproductions of the photographs are very poor and difficult to make out. Not clear at all. This is just a poorly constructed book from a quality stand-point all around. Not what I expected.
