For any "Die Hard" Sonny & Cher fan, this is a must have, view, the couples entrance into the genre of television, from nightclubs. If you have read Sonny Bono's autobiography, "The Beat Goes On" then it would be absolutely inhuman of you not to purchase this video and see his book come to life. The couple's obvious crazy nuts about each other attitude comes through like a jumbo jet. Cher's nervousness on the stage without Sonny by her side, or at least within eye-shot, is as evident as thier height difference in stocking feet. While Sonny's strength, and his determination to keep Cher calm on stage makes you aware that he really WAS her rock, as she has stated many times: I couldn't go on stage sometimes without Sonny up there holding me. Considering the fact that you can catch thier act on old re-run channels, with this video, you watch them literally from beginning to end. It was this televised special that lead directly to thier "Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour on CBS". It's a treasure!

Interesting only in seeing Sonny and Cher do their Las Vegas lounge act schtick before they got slick. Funny to note that the audience wasn't quite sure what to make of the verbal barbs the two throw back and forth. Great singing numbers though, and very cool clothes.

See the Rock n' Roll duo of the decade the way they were. Sonny & Cher sing, dance and joke their way through their hits "I Got You Babe," "The Beat Goes On" and more. #1324 - 48 min

I was not happy with this DVD. I was looking for some of Sonny & Cher's old comedy shows with some of their great songs. Very few songs and mostly just a review of the old show.

Even though this DVD was directly transferred from an imperfect tape (only occasional brief glitches or tracking lines that don't really detract from the show anyway), and it's in MONO (Dvd box says Dolby Digital), I still loved this show. By the way, the show is only about 37 minutes long (not the 48 minutes, that the Amazon product details, lists it as).

It had a demo tape/Dvd vibe to it- as if this tape/Dvd was made for the network exec's.- to decide if they should get their own show. It worked. They got it. I felt privileged to get a chance to watch it. The fact that it was unpolished, made me like it even more.

They reminiscence about how they met, and show pictures, all while the "I Got You Babe" music plays. Then they sing "I Got you Babe", an entire 3 minutes sung while they were both still sitting on the couch. Very nicely done and almost hypnotic. Unfortunately, they also have that awful slow version of "Danny Boy", sung by Cher, exactly like she did it on the Barbara McNair Show (from the Sonny & Cher Ultimate Collection Dvd).

It also has:

-4 cute improv. scenes, about 90 seconds each (two of them that include Cher).

-A segment featuring a leggy chick shaking her hips, while wearing a long orange shirt.

-Cher also gets groovy and does some of her own hip shaking, in a bikini like thing.

-a trivia track that you can play while the show runs, if you want.

-Sonny and Cher bios.


Forget love, all you really need is more Sonny & Cher (well, actually just more Cher).

A must see for all Sonny and Cher fans!

Maybe my expectations were too high but this collection fell so short that I couldn't wait to get it out of my house.
The trivia bits are not only supercilious by cloying and sophomoronic.
The selection of songs clips seemed to be the very worst of occassions where they were performed.
I'll keep looking for a good selection of this incredible couple's body of work.

I had not one problem with this order, unless you can complain that it came so quickly, I had to put it away before Christmas and almost forgot that I had it.

This is a really good video! Any Sonny & Cher fan should definitely have it!

sunny and shaia meet sunny wants to go out with her but he has to ask his friend first if he likes her. He says go for it and tells sunny were she lives. When sunny goes over shair is leaveing because she cant live with her roomates anymore. So sunny says she can live at his house. so she goes to his house and lives there for a while and during that while he finds uot that she likes to sing. So he gets her in at a place to sing and it works out good. She gets pregnet and finds out that he slept with another girl. She has her kid and they eventualy split up and remairre to other people. then they meet once more and that is the last time they see eachother.
