SOS SB and Sled Bug Avalanche Beacons help locate buried avalanche victims and equipment FAST! Similar to the SOS F1-ND Beacon, the SOS SB has the added advantage of being able to search for signals from "bug" transmitters located in backpacks or on snowmobiles, sleds or dogs. After locating and recovering all avalanche victims, push the "bug button" on the bottom of the SOS-SB Beacon to enter the Bug search channel. The distinctive clicking sound identifies that you are now searching for Bug devices. Use the DSL bar graph to lead you to the Bug stashed inside your personal belongings or on your sled. The SOS-SB avalanche beacon will always begin searching on 457 kHz. Once the "bug channel" is activated., it searches the special SB channel for two minues, then automatically returns to 457 kHz.
