My wife was skeptical at first, but even she had to pat me on the back once I installed this. The magnet seems powerful before you attach it to the wall, but once it is installed it is just the right amount of staying power.

This product works very well for it's intended purpose. I was looking for something to hold open our spring loaded hinged door from the garage into the house. This device has just the right amount of holding power, making the multiple trips with groceries that much easier. A light tug on the door handle seperates the magnet. I would have rated this 5 stars if the drywall plugs that came with the unit were a bit more heavy duty in nature. I used a screw in type plug as I was only able to mount one of the screws into a stud and didn't want to risk ripping the unit from the wall using the included plugs.

No longer do we need to prop sneakers or whatever's handy in front of our doors to ensure they won't slam shut when we're trying to take advantage of some of the cooler spring/fall/evening air.

With a pair of cats that like to imagine they're on the hunt while sitting at our screen door, it's always been a concern that a gust of wind will dislodge the makeshift door blocker and allow the door to swing shut and hurt our little guys. These magnetic door stops effectively deal with that issue. Not a door has slammed in our house since we have installed them (I picked up about a half dozen of them). Money well spent!

Great product. Very simple device will hold door in place just like in commercial buildings. Always had a problem with the door slamming shut when the windows were open and the door wedge would always go missing. Not anymore. Give it a decent tug to move it off the holder. I installed the holder at the top of the door, so the kids wouldn't accidently step on the holder and break it.

The doorstop product was fine. However, when I ordered three, I was disappointed to find that the shipping cost was tripled as well. That does not seem right.

This is a good, simple idea. It is a decent product which works as advertised. I would generally have to agree with most of the other reviews -- just the right amount of catch. The only knock I have is that the shipping costs were a little bit much -- i.e. cost as much as the product, thus doubling the overall cost. It's the only solution I could find and the door in question was REALLY annoying me so I was willing to take the hit.

Serves as a great door stop and also hold a heavy door that has two spring hinges with no problem. A great product.

These door stops worked well for us on our two bedroom doors that were continually blowing closed from the wind. They were easy to install and they seem to work well. I would recommend them.

"These door holder are good. We have a problem with older holder (traditional plastic below the door) because my Roomba push it and just clean one room. With this kind of door holder we avoid problem with my Roomba and clean more rooms with no problem."

After installing this door stop I am no longer having doors slam shut by the wind. The only criticism I have is that it is a little difficult to align the two pieces of the door stop during installation. The head of the post must be aligned to hit the center of the cup for the magnet to grip well.
