Product Description

This Soundgate interface allows one auxiliary source to input directly into the factory CD changer port. It can be used with LandRover 2000-2004 & many BMW vehicles 1996-2004. It is the perfect way to hook up your DVD, MP3, satellite radio & game consoles into your factory cd changer.

We've been living w/ an FM transmitter for several years to get audio from a Zune or a Garmin GPS into the radio. The transmitter has always been a finicky solution: so-so audio quality and a constant hunt for open frequencies as you drive from city to city.
Installed this device in place of the BMW 318ti 6-disc changer and it works great! Installation is simple; the hardest part was removing the changer.

I've had an AUXBMW interface for about a week and it's just awesome. It took 3 minutes to install, the directions were crystal clear, and the sound quality improvement on my satellite radio (compared to the satellite unit's built-in FM transmitter) is incredible. I'm sure the same would be true with an iPod vs. an FM transmitter. I would recommend it to anybody.
