Those fans of High School Musical-If you remember the old Mickey Rooney & Judy Garland (KIDS LETS PUT ON A SHOW) movies, it is similar in vein..has taken the High School Musiacalmovie one step farther than the film did, The Concert.

Lets say it this way, ITS great entertainment!if you have not gone, go to the show. I wanted to go with my nieces and could not. I did viuw the concert DVD and I was Hooked. Note you do not need to see the movie to enjoy this show

These young preformers (all from the cast of HSM) put on a show that capture the spirit of the movie..thanks to their talent and the magic of Disney. It is great family entertainment, which many have gone away from.

The soundtrack recording is a live version of the show and allows the CD audience a chance to relive the moments and groove with it again. Long after the stage show is a memory. This could play on Broadway for the closing Disney Beauty and Beast

and on disk two is a 5 cut DVD on the concert to enjoy, Is it worth it. Well its NO Mickey and Judy, but it works as great fun-so listen and watch the magic with your kids, relations and others who are tween aged

I love the cd and dvd the footage is awesome.

It's so nice to finally hear the true voices of High School Musical without studio interference. I was lucky enough to see the tour, and this cd confirms one thing: that Zac Efron did very little singing on the original soundtrack. Drew Seeley sounds exactly like the voice on the origianl cd, and I am glad that he is finally getting the chance to show who was really behind the voice in the original movie. Everyone else sounds great too, the audience is having an amazing time, and there are some new arrangements. All fans of HSM should buy this without question.

Then buy this CD/DVD!! I'm one of the (probably few) people who was not able to see the HSM concert when it came to the city closest to me. I heard that there was going to be a DVD of the concert coming out so naturally I went to Amazon when I learned it was finally available to pre-order (of course now you can simply buy this CD!).

I received it in the mail on May 1st (the day it came out) and listened to it -- all I can say is WOW. The energy in the audience really made the performers shine! Listening to the songs performed live was awesome and I could tell that much of their energy was fueled by the audience! I really liked that they included Push It To The Limit (Corbin Bleu), Say Ok (Vanessa Hudgens), Dance With Me (Drew Seeley), and We'll Be Together (Ashley Tisdale) on the CD. The songs from HSM are in a different order than they were in the movie, but that's what makes this concert so great.

Then there's the 2nd disc which is the highlights DVD of the actual DVD that will be coming out in June. I watched that as well and it was great! It left me wanting to see more. I have already pre-ordered the DVD. I really loved seeing the stars perform live; there's such a difference between the movie and the concert. The only thing I would have liked to see on the highlights DVD would be at least one or two of the songs that Corbin, Ashley, Drew, and Vanessa sang (preferrably Dance With Me). But hey, I'm sure it will be on the DVD.

I think my favorite feature on the 2nd disc were the cast interviews. You got to get a glimpse of what they did backstage before each show and insight on what each performer felt about the tour.

If you're a fan of High School Musical and didn't see the concert ... or if you did see the concert and want to see it again (or in this case, listen to it again and watch a little bit of it), then I highly recommend purchasing this! You will not be disappointed.

This cd is the BEST! I liked the movie soundtrack but this beats it by a mile! I love the that it is live. It mixes up the order which makes it cool. It also has song from Corbin's, Vanessa's, and Ashley's cd's and a song by Drew Seeley "Dance with me" which was from The Cheetah Girls 2 cd. it also has a bonus dvd with 5 performances of HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, Cast interviews, a preview for HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL The Concert Extreme Access Pass dvd available June 26th. BUY THIS!

It is fantastic!!! The price is cheap.While the quality is super good. I love it!!! I am a huge fan of High School Musical. I was so happy to get this high quality product. Now I put one CD in my car so I can enjoy HSM while I am driving. Thank you so much!

I like the music to High School Musical. It's something that's catchy and I'm able to listen to with the kids I nanny, and not have to worry about language or what they are talking about. It is also music that doesn't make me want to slam my head against a wall.
I am also a fan of Drew Seeley. He is an amazing singer, who doesn't get enough recognition for his talent. This CD definitely helps put him in the lime-light a bit more.
The girls I watch loved the DVD, but they love the CD just as much (especially the Drew parts, they think he's cute:)) The difference in how they sing it from the studio recording to LIVE is fun to hear, and you can hear the audiences reaction, so you feel like you are there.
It was definitely a good investment. It's fun music that's G-rated that I enjoy listening to, even without the kids.

This is a rehash of the soundtrack, but is good for notice to finally be taken that Zac Efron did NOT sing in HSM. In a Disney interview he said that for that reason he was not part of the tour. He does sing in HSM2 (fairly well at that).

This is a good buy even if you didnt see the concert. Good for all ages and you actually get to hear everyone's singing voice. If you have seen the movie or saw the concert this is a good item to add to your collection of High School Musical Products.

My kids loved this DVD. They can't wait for HSM 2 on Disney. They also would like to see the concert live. Great show!
