This review is from: SPAD XII/XIII Aces of World War 1 (Aircraft of the Aces) (Paperback)
Jon Guttman is generally regarded as one of the premier historians with regard to aviation and this Osprey series volume is a good example of his excellent work. These books are very well researched and supported wonderfully with photos and artwork. This book covers all or most of the aces that flew the SPAD XII and / or SPAD XIII. It provides biographical and statistical information as well as photos and artwork of their aircraft plus development and manufacture details. If you have an interest in World War One aviation, this is a great title to acquire. The Osprey series has many other World War One titles to select from. The SPAD VII has it's own volume also capably executed by Jon Guttman.Spad VII Aces of World War I (Osprey Aircraft of the Aces No 39) Additional titles of interest to consider American Aces of World War I (Osprey Aircraft of the Aces No 42) and Balloon-Busting Aces of World War 1 (Aircraft of the Aces)
