With Bacon Spam the answer is yes. As far as I'm concerned they can simply discontinue all over spam varities. Bacon spam has a much more meaty and slightly smokey flavor that brings Spam up several notches in my opinion.

You can of course use it in any way you normally use regular spam but perhaps one of my favorite ways to have it is to cube it up and cook it in with navy beans or in split pea soup.
I am not a fan of the hot spam or the hickory spam that tastes a bit odd to me. If I were to describe the flavor for you it would be. Bacon spam doesn't taste exactly like bacon. It is more like they mixed 20% bacon in with regular spam. It is hard to find this variety in stores. I have only seen it a the Mega-Walmarts and here on Amazon. Enjoy!

There is the tiniest, faintest "edge" to this spam that I presume is the bacon, although you could have fooled me --- it seemed like a denser type version of the regular spam. It's okay as spam goes and I prefer this to the regular spam, the few times I'm in the mood for it --- but more bacon would be preferable --- i don't really think they have a right to call it that name, to tell you the truth.

The flavor was good, but saddly I have to watch my Sodium intake and this product has too much for me.

Been a Spam fan for over 40 yrs. & thought the Bacon Flavored version would be something different. Sorry to say that it just didn't have any, or very little, bacon flavor. Tasted like a can of regular Spam. Called Hormel Customer Service to voice my concerns and got a curt response of "we can't satisfy every customer's tastes", end of conversation. Thought they'd be a bit more receptive to a long time customer's comments but they weren't. If you like regular Spam you'll like this, just don't expect much of a Bacon flavor.

My neighbor got the parcel for me as i was not in town, 3 out of 6 cans were destroyed and leaking, so it sat in much and juice and bugs for a few days, trying to contact amazon about the order, but it won't let me give feedback on contact us, this is the first time I've had trouble with amazon.
Packaging was VERY POOR.
BUT AMAZON CAME THROUGH LIKE ALWAYS!!! THEY REFUNDED THE ENTIRE ORDER, THIS IS WHY I AM AN AMAZON CUSTOMER FOR LIFE!!!

I'm not a huge spam fan but when you fry it and mix it with eggs it's pretty good and on amazon it beats sams club prices by as much as 5 dollars a six pack with free shipping!!

I think this is the best SPAM ever. The protein, fats, and carbs are the same as "SPAM Classic", but it is not as salty. (Classic is 790mg and Bacon is 520mg per serving.) The flavor is good and there is just a hint of bacon.

Since SPAM Classic and the Walmart "Luncheon Meat" are both canned in the same factory (199N), I will compare those also for reference. I think the SPAM brand has better flavor and texture, but the Walmart brand has zero reported carbs per serving where SPAM is one, probably from the added sugar. This may be of interest for one on a low-carb diet. After frying (or cauterizing as some say), they all give nice tasty semi-crispy patties.

Other thoughts: Even though I got SPAM Bacon on a good deal here, the "best by" date is thirty-six months away, so I did not get old stock.

NO flavor of bacon is represented in this Spam whatsoever!!!!Do NOT buy it as it's nothing more than the regular Spam!!!!

I liked this product very much..I love spam and who doesn't love bacon, but the bacon flavor is very mild, and it did not affect the consistancy of the product, it is easy to slice for sandwiches, or to cut up or cube with scrambled eggs, will keep this product in my pantry for a quick sandwich or meal.kids like it also.
