I Don't write many reviews, but after reading some of the prior reviews on this product, I was moved to comment. First, let me say that I LOVE the amazon customer reviews and they have been extremely helpful to me in the past. To those who routinely take the time to say what you honestly think-- THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

I'd like to pass on my experience on this item in the hopes that I can give back a little. My problem is a thick waist-- not up there with global warming, I know, but still frustrating. I eat right and exercise, but my waist refuses to cooperate even though my weight is pretty close to normal. Ok, I've picked up a few pounds over the years, but I had the waist issue at my (long ago) skinniest in my teens and twenties-- its a genetic thing. Here's where the highwaisted Spanx pantyhose come in. If you have a similiar body type, please don't be discouraged by some of the prior reviews. This product is the real deal, a godsend. I promise.

Some of the other reviewers on the high waited hose version of these tights said that the hose didn't stay put--I understand this issue all too well having experienced it with other products, but I have to emphasize that rolling has NOT been my experience with the highwaisted spanx pantyhose. In fact, the stay put factor is what makes these hose so terrific. It makes me wonder if maybe the other reviewers ordered the wrong size. AS someone who has tried a lot of products trying to create a more feminine waistline, I really encourage others who have similar concerns to give this product a fair try.

In my experience, the high waist stays exactly where I want it AND the hose are extremely comfortable--more so than conventional hose simply because there is NO rolling at the waist-- the top goes all the way to the bottom of my bra and STAYS there. I wear these hose to the office and even after 12 hours on, I feel no need to rip off my hose when I arrive back home--something I did frequently with other control hosiery. And most tummy control hose work on tummy but do nothing for the waistline--my biggest concern. Believe me I have tried many many products of all kinds. This product is a great alternative to corsets (which work but are unbearable after a few hours). This product also disguises lines and bulges under clingly clothing. If you try this item and still have a problem with the rolling waist band mentioned by other reviewers, may I suggest you try a slightly higher size? The compression still works and the smoothness factor under clothing and the illusion of a smaller waistline are clearly worth the effort.

So by now you get it--- I am REALLY happy with this product. I'm going to continue to buy this item even though a bit pricey as panty hose (and I would ideally prefer a separate hose and waist control)--but there is nothing out (including other Spanx products) there that works as well for my particular issues WITHOUT compromising comfort. One suggestion to Spanx-- add more colors for these tights?

After I started wearing this product, so-o-o many people started complimenting me on my appearance and my "new outfits." {i didn't buy any new clothes but I did start wearing belts over my jackets and sweaters to emphasize my smaller middle.] Many also told me that I looked like I had lost weight or was working out more. They said I was in great shape. What they didn't realize is that the only thing I had changed was something they couldn't see and didn't suspect-- my spanx high waist pantyhose!

Man oh man...(breathe in, breathe out) Feels good to delete these off my wish list :D!!! Just got them for X-mas & I absolutely adore them so far. Took me LITERALLY about 15 mins to put on though...phew, but they are exactly what they promise to be. I'm sitting down right now & I know for a fact that they aren't even considering rolling up (big-deal). Perfect fit when all is said & done, great strong quality fabric, very opaque, which I love! I know that these are going to be with me for some time now. Oh & note to self...do not, I repeat DO NOT buy these without checking the sizing charts on the Spanx website! Trust me, you don't want to guess more than a few lbs off if you're going to be the in between type size like I am. I'll confess...I guessed, because I often buy tights of all sorts, & what I picked sounded close enough (*shrugs?*) Now that I have the packaging & get to look @ the sizing chart, I'm actually about 3 lbs above the range for my height & I FEEL EVERY OUNCE, lol!? A good way to make sure one will not overeat 2day on X-mas, or any typical tend-to-over-eat occasion!! Anyways, all in all, fantastic product, worth every cent, I plan on purchasing every color. I actually bought these a size larger than I probably should have, I thought about returning them but didn't have any other pair to wear on Thanksgiving. I'm so relieved that I did not return them as they had just enough power to hold me in but enough where i didn't feel like a packed in like a sausage esp after a Thanksgiving meal. I would say order a size up for comfort. Also because they were bigger they appeared to be much more opaque and yet they still didn't bunch up or bag anywhere. The high waistband did not roll or slide down and lay flat on top of the bottom of my bra which left me fuss-free all day long. I'm so glad someone finally made a high waist pair of tights because I can't wear 2-3 types of support undergarments at once. These do the job of regular leggings spanx in the form of tights. From now on i will only buy these tights and its nice they come in some cool patterns as well.

I WEAR THIS PRODUCT UNDER MY CLOTHES AT HORSE SHOWS. IT DOES THE JOB AND ABSOLUTLY DOES NOT ROLL DOWN AT THE WAIST!! I LOVE THEM.

I love these tights... They look great under a dress...and I am so particular about the thighs and rubbing...some material does not feel that great. This is sliming, and extermely sturdy. I feel together but not like a saugage in casing...haha. I would def get the size chart and follow it exactly! I am 190lbs...so i got a D. Good luck

Spanx makes great products, and the tights are excellent. I love the high waisted style, I love how they hold you in, and the tights are very durable. I do believe Spanx are expensive, but I will pay for this quality. I do find these at TJMaxx sometimes at half the cost, so you may want to check there first. A great product!

This product is perfect for us apple-shaped women. No other similar product can compare for fit, durability, and comfort.

Although these are advertised as shapewear, I use them as a protective layer when I go biking (with long-sleeved shirt and long trousers on top). They're terrific: sturdy and yet light. A couple years back I had a biking accident that could have been serious, and thanks to the Spanx, I had no abrasions at all and very little injury. And on the few occasions when I care about looking thinner, they also make a dress have a trimmer line. What's not to like? Spanx is great!

These are good. They don't stay all the way up that well, but they get the job done.
