    So I received my Spanx today. Of course I had to try them on immediately. Ladies, let me tell you: It works wonders!
    * Amped-up, high-waisted tummy-taming panel - HERE IS THE THING, LADIES: I'VE READ IN MANY REVIEWS THAT THE TOP PART SLIDES DOWN. IN ORDER TO PREVENT THAT YOU REALLY HAVE TO BUY THE SIZE THAT IS RECOMMENDED FOR YOUR HEIGHT AND WEIGHT. THERE'S REALLY NO NEED TO BUY A SIZE DOWN BECAUSE THE MATERIAL IS SO TIGHT ANYWAY. I, FOR INSTANCE, WAS IN BETWEEN TWO SIZES. AT FIRST, I WAS TEMPTED TO BUY THE SMALLER SIZE; BUT THANK GOD I OPTED FOR THE LARGER SIZE. I HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH MY SPANX AT ALL. PLUS: I CAN IMAGINE THAT A WOMAN WITH A SHORTER TORSO MIGHT FIND THE TOP PART TOO LONG... IT WAS OK FOR ME; MY TORSO IS IN BETWEEN short TO MEDIUM WHEN IT COMES TO LENGTH (IF THAT MAKES ANY SENSE). AND WOMEN WITH FAT RIGHT UNDER THE BRA SHOULD BE AWARE THAT THE SPANX MIGHT ACCENTUATE THIS BECAUSE THE SPANX ARE SO TIGHT ; SPANX TAKES REALLY GOOD CARE OF THE LOVE HANDLES, THOUGH!!
    * Super sleek, cling-free finish - TRUE
    * Mega compression zones target tummy, thighs and rear - WELL, IT DID ALMOST NOTHING FOR MY TUMMY, BUT IT HOLD IT IN CONTROL AND SMOOTHED EVERYTHING OUT.
    * Unique new design gives rear a lift - SURE DID! MY BOOTY LOOKED AMAZING IN THE SPANX. BOTH IN JEANS AND IN A REALLY TIGHT DRESS. HOWEVER, I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND WEARING SPANX UNDER JEANS BECAUSE YOU CAN DEFINITELY SEE WHERE THE SPANX END ON YOUR THIGHS.
    * Cotton double gusset for ease when nature calls - I REALLY WOULDN'T RECOMMEND USING THIS TINY WHOLE!!!
    * Panty lines be gone! Wear as underwear - SEE ABOVE
    * Legband-free design prevents bulges on thighs - TRUE
    * Streamline your silhouette in waist-cinching skirts and dresses - YEP!!

    Getting these on was not the most comfortable thing I've done, but I love the way they make me look... As for the hole they give you making going to the bathroom easy, I beg to differ... It is very tiny and I just wasn't comfortable with the idea of trying it, so I took them off... Then we're back to the battle of pulling them back up.. Overall they make you look great, so you have to decide if the battle is worth the end result... Pain is beauty I guess..... :)

    I bought my first pair of Spanx several months after seeing/hearing lots about it. I am used to wearing shapewear as I wear dresses for work and don't like my thighs to rub or to not have a smooth foundation. Upon getting a raise, I decided to treat myself to something "special". I was so incredibly impressed the first time I wore them. They stayed put and would "breathe" better than most shapewear does. Imagine my horror when, by the third time I wore them (correct size, hand washed, etc), they began falling apart at the crotch, back seam, and legs. Within a few weeks, the holes were so big that I could no longer wear them and had to donate them to the trash can! Sad, but having a forgiving and optimistic outlook, I decided that the first pair was a lemon and bought ANOTHER pair! Again, they fell apart almost immediately!! I am so embarrassed to have been fooled TWICE and at what I spent to get such low quality. I much prefer the significantly less expensive shapers I previously wore that DON'T FALL APART!!!! In this case, you don't get what you pay for! PS: I am writing on my husband's account and he insisted that I reveal that I am not, indeed, him and that he does NOT wear shapers with his dresses! :)

    I'll keep this short and sweet. I'm overweight (by quite a bit) and in the process of losing weight (by quite a bit). I wanted something to help in the between phases of flabby and healthy, and when I first wiggled into this garment I couldn't help but notice that my muffin top was gone, my tummy was smooth, and although my butt was minimized it wasn't squashed (which was one of my fears). I love this product. I go nowhere without it.

    The only issue that I've had is with my thighs. I have pretty wide thighs and if I don't pull the legging part down to around my knee, it is very obvious I have on a shaper if I am wearing jeans. It's really no biggy to do, though, but I wanted those of you who have a similar body type to know there IS a way to work around it.

    One thing to note: you will not go from fat to skinny. You will still have the same amount of fat and flab, it will just be squished, moved, etc. If you have trouble with the back rolling down, I would personally suggest buying a SPANX camisole to go with it (I personally put the camisole on first and this on second) so you don't get back flab exposure.

    I couldn't be happier with this product. I really couldn't. :)

    Okay, the bottom line here is expectations. Let's face it...if you are overweight you are overweight and no garment is going to take you from a flabby size 16 to a svelte size 4. What this garment will do for you is to smooth out the lumps, bumps and bulges. When I have this on, I do not look thin but I look less lumpy...which is an improvement.
    If you think you will put this on and be transformed into a thin fashion diva than you are sure to be disappointed. The only thing that will do that is proper diet and intense exercise (or plastic surgery). What it will do is smooth out your appearence so although you still appear overweight you will be less frumpy. I cannot wear tight fitting clothing with this because when you push the lumps in at one location there are more noticeable bulges in other locations, but I do wear it with sweaters and jeans or looser fitting dresses.
    Overall I like this product and it does make feel better in my clothes. I do recommend going with the one you feel is a bit too tight because they will stretch out with wear (just like jeans). This is not a miracle cure to being overweight but a temporary fix for some problems that come along with being overweight.
    I did not have problems with rolling but did feel very constricted. This is not something I would want to wear if comfort was important.
