I am a recent purchaser of the Spanx Tight End Matte Tights and have been extremely satisfied. Have found no problem with the quality -- they wear well and provide the shaping I desire. My only complaint is that the price seems pretty high for a product of this type. I used to buy Haines Opaque Shapers, but those are no longer offered. I think the Spanx are better than the Haines product.

I've been wearing skirts and dresses a lot recently and have been looking for nice, basic black tights to layer under them during the colder months. After a couple of mishaps with cheap tights that were either too thin, snag easily, or stretch out and get baggy while I'm wearing them; I decided to spend the little bit of extra money on these tights. And it was money well spent :]

While I've always had to be very careful with some of my cheaper tights, I'm not worried about causing a run in these Spanx tights at all. They definitely have some nice heft to them without looking too thick. It sucks in any little bumps that you may have without being too constricting. The waistband stays up nicely and comfortably without being too snug.

Just as a reference since I was a little unsure about the sizing when I was purchasing these, I'm 5'3, 123lbs, with hips and thighs that run on the curvier side. I got these tights in the 'B' size and they fit perfectly. The tights came with its own sizing chart that was much more helpful than the sizing chart currently available on this page. You can find it on the Spanx website.

I am a consumer who wears Spanx often. While I do know that they can snag (just like any other tights can), the product is extremely well made, serves a flattering purpose effectively and DOES have an exceptional reputation. To the lady who posted the negative review: it's unfair to judge a product due to an error on your part. Tights snag. You've got to be carful.

These are good tights. Opaque enough that you don't see every flaw on your legs. I do feel these are not as matte as I would have liked (I like my tights without ANY sheen at all). The bodyshaping works good without making you feel too uncomfortable. For all you ladies who mentioned snags: I have been keeping my pantyhose and tights (in their plastic bag) in the freezer for years now (especially before wearing them the first time). This usually gets a chuckle by anybody that opens the freezer, however, it has helped my pantyhose and tights to stay 'snag-free.'

Although a bit pricy, these tights are by far the best I have ever worn. They are high quality and really create a svelte figure. I recommend them to all my friends. I only wish I could find them locally so I do not have to purchase online.

These tights are worth every dollar ($26). I wear black tights almost exclusively all winter, and now that I've discovered Spanx, I don't bother with "opaques". These are smooth, comfortable, and most of all durable--hence the value. I got the C size, even though I'm barely in that range (honest) because I didn't want to avoid any risk of them being too small/short. I didn't have to worry about them being too big-- they are very forgiving in both directions.

These tights rock! I'm going on tight season number 2 with my black Spanx tights and I recommend them to everyone. They are high quality hosiery and they make my backside look perky in any dress or skirt. I plan on getting more colors this fall!

If you haven't tried SPANKX yet, you're really doing yourself a disservice. Yes, they cost more than traditional panty-hose. But the bodyshaping design and fabric really tighten-and-tuck in the areas that affect the drape of a skirt or even the way you look in pants. I have nicely shaped legs. But sometimes my tummy can be a bit bloated and poochey looking, especially after a big meal. Spankx totally tucks and trims without restricting my movement, blood circulation, breathing! They're comfortable and figure flattering, so try 'em out!

The Spanx Tights hold their shape and hand-wash easily. Most tights even with control top get pick marks and stretch, but not the Spanx. You would spend the same amount in multiple purchases of other tights that you spend on one pair of Spanx and they will last longer.

Love these Spanx tights but be sure and purchase a larger size than normal so that they are comfortable for you. I realize that may be defeating the purpose of making you look thinner but I always go for comfort. The fabric is nice and opaque and they last a very long time.
