Ameet Devendra Doshi, MLS, MPA is the Head of the User Experience Department at the Georgia Institute of Technology Library in Atlanta. He also serves as the subject specialist for the School of Economics at Georgia Tech.
His research interests include: assessment of the user experience, library as a sustainable public space, international student perceptions of the academic library, and the use of open source tools in academic libraries. He has presented at numerous regional and national conferences including: Popular Culture Association (PCA), Association for College and Research Libraries (ACRL), and American Libraries Association (ALA).
Mr. Doshi earned a Bachelors degree in the College Scholars interdisciplinary program at the University of Tennessee, and a Masters degree in Information Science from the School of Information Sciences at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He also holds a certificate in Linux Systems from the College of DuPage. He completed a second Masters degree in Public Administration (MPA) with a concentration in Higher Education Leadership from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington. In 2009 he became a LEED Accredited Professional for Operations and Maintenance by the U.S. Green Building Council.
He is a co-host (along with colleague Charlie Bennett) of "Lost in the Stacks" the research library rock n' roll radio show on WREK 91.1 FM Atlanta. The program airs each Friday at noon (EST) and streams on http://wrek.org.
