I wonder how many people have read or who are now reading the wonderfully engaging story of a man named Dumarest who looking throughout the galaxy for a way back home to what many feel is a myth - the planet Earth.
Dumarest is a gladiator who must use his mind, strength and uncanny quickness to travel from planet to planet in a search for clues to where his home planet earth might be. Each book is another planet, another adventure that challenges Dumarest to the fullest. Tubb's writing style is sparse and yet filled with descriptive imagery and sometimes is downright poetic. Spectrum of a Forgotten Sun is another fine chapter to the Dumarest tale of human courage and valor.
