Never Mind the Secret, Read This Book!,

This review is from: SPEED Manifesting: 7 Steps to Abundance NOW (Perfect Paperback)
I never understood, or maybe I was beyond The Secret, after spending a week with Sonia Choquette's training for Sixth Sensory Practitioner. I had seen "Speed Manifesting" online, and it caught my eye. I wondered, how in the world can someone manifest quickly? How in the world can this be done? And,I bought the book.
Lori covers the universal laws, Belief systems, Forming beliefs, Changing beliefs, balanced wealth, attracting money in section one.In section 2, she covers the 7 steps to abundance in great detail, dissecting each step, and breaking down each steps to smaller steps. For example, Step 7 is Start Circulating. In this step, she breaks it down to: Giving versus trading, Tithing, Allowing and receiving, Trading for love, Circulating with people and ideas, Good steward of money, Compete or create?. Then, there's section 3. It includes everything else. The beginning of Speed Manifesting, Lori tells an extraordinary story about golfing. This explains how people allow their thoughts to defeat them. Her life from Detroit to New Zealand travels the reader through Canada as well, and the devastating loss of her stepfather. Her family became more and more in lack of money. They were to the brink of loosing everything they owned. Then, Lori began using this system, "Speed Manifesting", and it worked. Little by little, her and her family's life turned around. Everything she manifested, she received in one way or another. Lori knows how to use the Law of Attraction, and is teaching others a technique that works. I've used Lori's Speed Manifesting technique for my own needs, and did every step of the book, and it turned my own life around. Everything I asked for, I received in one way or another. I still use these techniques. I admire people who understand the Law of Attraction, and I admire Lori. This book is life changing. I swear by it.

It helped me!,

I acquired a copy of this book at a critical stage in my life, when my husband's mother experienced a life threatening stroke and we were under tremendous financial strain because of the development costs of our business.
Thanks to the guidance and inspiration of Lori Mitchell and her philosophy of SPEED Manifesting, I was able to get through that incredibly tough period. Probably the two most important points I absorbed from Lori were the importance of experiencing and expressing gratitude and being able to "let go" - to have the assurance that a solution will present itself. In the hope that it might be helpful to others, here is my story of how I applied Lori's techniques of introducing a positive attitude and gratitude into my own life: "Every day I have fresh reasons for gratitude, but for now the overwhelmingly significant occurrence is the great improvement in health and strength of Surin's mother. For several weeks she was hovering between life and death, in constant pain, unable to sleep or eat or even to be able to keep down food administered through a feeding tube. Her mind was wandering, she was crying a lot, fearful, complaining and self-pitying at the thought she would be unable to recover her faculties or walk again. Surin was of course deeply worried, although trying to be stoic. I was trying to shoulder as much as I could of our shared burden of running the resort and we were spending a lot of money on her medical care. So things were tough and we silently shared the worry that things could get a whole lot worse which would create huge financial and personal pressure on us, at a time when we are already stretched very tightly and feeling that we are at, or even beyond, the limits of our financial capacity. As soon as work and social pressures allowed me, I took a week's leave and went with Surin to visit her. This was on Sunday 17th May. We arrived in the afternoon and I was delighted to find her sitting up eating. One daughter Pang was feeding her from a bowl, another, Pan, was holding up a tube which was running into Mum's nose into which she was administering medicine. I was enormously impressed with the care she was receiving from these two daughters, which, as well as nursing (dressing, feeding, giving medicine, toileting) included massage and luk prakob - in which all parts of her body would be pressed with a poultice of hot Thai herbs. My ideas for helping to heal Surin's Mum included these: Help her to count her blessings and be grateful for her wonderful good fortune in being able to recuperate at home and have such a caring and skillful family to support her and many friends who continually pop in to see her. Encourage her to use herbs as a supplement to her medicine. Give her hope that she could recover fully. Persuade her to be rigorous in her exercises so that she could recover her capabilities. Give her love and affection and share my warmth and strength with her. There was a big improvement in her condition each day while we were there. She was eating well and began taking Chinese herbal medicine which Surin had bought for her which stimulated her digestive system and bowels and helped to purify her blood. Although sometimes crabby with her daughters, she also acknowledged that she was lucky - raising her arms in a wai saying "satoo" which is a kind of expression of devotion and thanks. And she recovered a lot of movement in her left side - Surin massaged her each day, especially focusing on the nerves around her left armpit and shoulder which were very tight. I massaged her feet and toes, exercised her leg and arm on her left side and talked to her and her family about the importance of keeping up the exercises every day. By the time we left three days later she was able to sit up almost unaided, feed herself, could grip the side of the bed with her weak left hand, move her left leg a little and raise both her arms in a "wai." They removed the feeding tube on the day we left as she no longer needed it. I feel incredibly happy and grateful at her good progress and glad that I was able to contribute to it. I feel enormously grateful to Surin's two sisters who are giving 24 hour care to their mother and wonderful care at that, and to other friends and members of the family who are all helping her in various ways. I feel happy and grateful about the cheerfulness of Surin's family - the sickroom was often filled with laughter, each step forward by his mother was greeted with happy laughter and his mother was cracking witticisms which added to the joy. I feel grateful to Surin who has managed to stay calm throughout the mental ordeal of not knowing whether his mother would live or die and the fear that she might live the rest of her life as a helpless invalid. I feel grateful that I too have managed to stay calm and been able to be supportive of Surin. She is not fully recovered but she is out of danger and I believe she can walk again if she is diligent in her exercises. I assumed the role of a loving but stern nurse with her to try to persuade her that she must do them and she seemed to take my words seriously. Meanwhile Surin and I had to manage the practical business of running a resort and developing a nature sanctuary. We had invested a lot of money at that time on White Water Lake and the resort, money we didn't have but we wanted to take advantage of the best timing - get the work done before the rainy season started and making use of the builder while he was available. Although business had been good and this helped a lot, we had a shortfall of several thousand dollars. Our financial problems were further aggravated, as we had to pay for the medical care of Surin's mother. Normally I would be highly stressed about this and would be arguing a lot with Surin, who has often pushed us further than I am comfortable with. Our past pattern when facing these situations would be I would express my anxieties, complain and nag and he would become angry with me. But this time I tried to use the SPEED Manifesting technique of not focusing on the problem but keeping calm and waiting for the solution to present itself. In the past, I met our cash shortfalls by borrowing against my New Zealand property, or taking out cash advances with my credit card, but I had now reached my limit. I asked Surin to take the initiative in this and so he did. He took out short term loans from banks and finance companies and pawned his gold. We also had a lucky break, when a film crew booked out the resort for a few days, giving us a most welcome influx of cash." Things are going more smoothly for us now and I often marvel at how we coped when faced with such tremendous difficulties. A lot of it must come from the power of gratitude. To quote another writer: "Gratitude is a highly magnetic state and when one is in the state of gratitude it is returned to you easily. Many religions suggest that prayers are to be ones of gratitude instead of asking for this or that, and that by merely being sincerely grateful blessings will come to you ten-fold." This is very much the message of Lori's book. |
