Initially, I thought this would be a great toy because we have the 12" Spider-Man for our 3 year-old and thought Spidey's nemesis would be a great addition. Although this action figure looks GREAT, it does NOT perform well. The four tentacle arms are so heavy and long that Dr. Ock cannot stand up on his own; you MUST hold him up yourself. Also, the figure is NOT very durable. We have not had this item a week and one arm has a slight crack incurred while trying to remove his overcoat (the human arms do not bend well and removing the overcoat, while possible, is quite awkward). Today, while playing with it with my son, one of Dr. Ock's tentacles broke off at the joint where it joins his back so now only three tentacles can be used. We still have the receipt so we are planning to return this item where we purchased it. This toy was a big disappointment.

This is a very stout, and highly articulated rotocast figure. Much better than the 2 Spiderman and the 1st movies Green Goblin. (...), it's really great.
It is short packed; but, not all that uncommon. I found 3 in 4 cases. There's only 3 figures to a case, however.
The tentacles are very difficult to get in. The instructions are not the best, so, that adds to the frustration. I have my Doc Ock standing on it's own. It's all in how you pose the tentacles. I have them holding the figure up. (Have the tentacles behind Doc and it'll stand). Becareful bending the tentacles, they are somewhat fragile. I was worried I would break mine. But, they did survive.
+ side: Solid figure. Heavy. Looks better than the actor.
- side: Difficult getting the tentacles on. Tentacles feel fragile. Poor assembly instructions.

it fits the real dr. otopus's image very well! it has great posable action and looks like a very fun action figure to play with!

After reading all of the reviews, I decided to write an opinion. How in the world can someone complain about the tentacles? If you put them in correctly you would see how much fun DOC OCK would be to play with and display. Another factor to consider is the manufacturer only adds one per case. If you could find them in a store, which I doubt buy two...one to play with and the other for box display. The sculpt is very detailed, as well.

you should definitely get this the arms stay in perfectly and he is very durable.his arms are poseable but you have to take them off and bend them then put them back on.i was so excited when i saw it in a store and there were two.it was at k-mart.i love it and am so glad i got it.

My god is this figure GREAT. i just love the tentacles and even though he cant stand on his feet i make him get support standing by the tentacles. this figure is awsome and i like the size of it. but i know in the future the tentacles will be week and will come off. but still its AWSOME.

Doc Ock (Dr.Octopus) always was my favorite Spidey villan. When I heard he was the villan in Spider-man 2 I grabbed my cash and ran to walmart and got this first, and out of everything else, it's the BEST! The arms are Very flexy and detailed. Other than the chest, it looks perfectly like The eight limbed scientice, (Alfred Molina). The pinsers are very detailed and bendy. As I bought him/it at the frount counter, the clerk said I'm lucky and that he's VERY RARE in stores!

My son received this as a birthday present about 2 weeks ago. He was very excited to finally have Doc Oc. My husband snapped the arms into the back of Doc Oc and they broke off IMMEDIATELY. There is no fixing this problem as it no longer will hold the arms this toy really bites in my opinion and I've been buying off of here for years and never had strong enough feelings to write a review until this toy. DO NOT BUY!!! I promise your child will be upset over the crummy design!

Best-of-the-best is what you're looking at!! This guy's got long,bendable tenticles that grip spidey to his death! As a big costumer,I strongly incourage you to buy this!!!!!!!! -five stars,ALL-THE-WAY!!! -Ty Mullenaux
