I love this toy! It comes with a removable mask and detailed costume complete with spider insignias on front and back.
It's also super-poseasble. It's poseable at the neck,shoulders,elbows,wrists,fingers,(Yeah,Fingers!)waist,hips,knees and ankles.Too bad it's poseability doesn't make up for it's cheap rubber mask. If you're a collector, leave it in the box. But if you're thinking of playing with it (like I know everyone wants to) apply some clear household adhesive to the seam (or wherever it ripped).That should hold it.
Once the mask has been touched up, the actual toy is pretty durable, so I gave it a three. But that cheesy mask kind of took away from the fun, so I gave it a four. I don't know educational a doll can get, but it's massive poseability and removable mask do inspire lot's of creativity, so I gave It another four.
Overall I'd give this toy a 4 1/2. You should give it a try, too

This fully poseable Spiderman doll comes with a removable mask and highly detailed costume, featuring raised webbing and an authentic spider insignia.The face sculpt is a detailed portrait of Toby Maguire's face, and when you slip the mask on it captures the look of spiderman's mask.The only problem I have with it is the mask (doesn't everyone?).But I have the solution for everyone who's been dissapointed with it.I had mom apply GOOP brand household adhesive to the seam.(You can also apply it to wherever it first ripped). It's clear and REALLY strong.It works like a charm, but I'd like to see a cloth mask with velcro version.
Above all else I'd say this is one of the coolest things on the market. Message to Toy Biz-When are you guys making Pater Parker and Harry Osborn

I purchased this toy quite a while ago now and I think it is very good apart from the one flaw - the mask. if you leave them they tear easily, and it's hard to get them on in the first place! but still its a good toy

This toy is not as bad as you think it is. It is very cool 12''action figure. And as you read on all spider-man toys, it says offical movie merchandise.... The mask does not tear if you leave it on. Iv'e had this toy for a year. How you ask? I told you im a collector. overall this toy is great for kids who like spider-man but if i were you I would keep it NRFB (NEVER REMOVED FROM BOX)

I purchased this item for my son who is 4 for his birthday. He carries this Spider-Man every where he goes. He loves it. I have purchased another one for my 5 year old son for Christmas this year. My 5 year old tries to take it from my 4 year old all the time. It is a fun toy too have around. It looks just like the boy who played Spider-Man in the movie. For all those Spider-Man fans, this is a must have. I hope you enjoy this toy as much as we have. The mask on it is made of a rubber like substance, and is hard to get on, but we haven't taken it off, other than one time. It has not ripped on us, but you do have to be very careful, while putting it on.

i got this toy a few monyhs ago, but it is still fun.
the same day i got him the mask ripped (DUH!!!) but i roped my mom into making a new one. the only hard part was the webbing and eyes, but it was easily fixe with gray and black hobby paint. all in all, i highly recomend this toy to any spider-man fan.

This toy is what I wanted my 12" Mego Spider-man to be able to do!

Because the mask comes off, he's like two toys in one! So he can "go to the Daily Bugle" and get yelled at by the 12" Gandalf from Lord of the Rings, and then change into his "working clothes" and fight crime a few minutes later!

Iff you put some of those Spider-Man Adventure Hero clothes on him, he becomes Peter Parker (except for the webbed hands part!)

The only thing I wish he had was a web line to swing around with!

But the best part is that there is so much the kids can do with him to make up their own stories!

Whoever did this was really knew what they were doing!

This figure must have looked great on the drawing board, but here are the problems:
1.- It is extremely difficult to pull the mask over the head, (try talc on the head first).
2.- The mask tears if you leave it on the head,(this has happened with two Spiderman figures so far).
3.- The figure is poorly articulated.
4.- The upper torso is out of proportion to the rest of the body.

The rubber mask that comes with this toy ripped after 2 days leaving spidey maskless and my kid crying. For a 20 dollar toy, which is a little much for an action figure, this toy is not worth the aggrivation.

When I purchased 2 for my two young sons, I was thrilled to find them and they were as well. But soon after opening the packages I know that I had made a mistake... the mask is very hard to get on and off...My 6 year old and 3 1/2 year old both have trouble and one of the masks ripped within 30 minutes....and what is Spider-man without a mask!
