The roller works great. Just as described in the post. I have lower back problems and my physical therapist prescribed using a foam roller for many different exercises, and it works just how it's supposed to. It is a little softer than some other ones are though.

My wife really gets a lot of relief from this thing, and so does my 10-yr old who has some back problems... but for me it doesn't really seem to do much.
My review here is to say that if you have had this recommended or used it at PT or a chiropractor - then you should pick it up - because it is not too expensive, and could really work for you. When you think about how much it costs to make a cylindrical piece of hard foam versus what they charge you kind of want to puke - but if it helps your body then really it is worth twice the price.
