I love a good workout and have been in and out of gyms and various home programs since I was in high school. This is the VERY BEST thing for people who find themselves strapped for time, or who just really aren't the gym type, but need a REAL workout. I have to enjoy a workout to keep at it and I DO ENJOY THIS ONE. Granted, you won't get ripped using this system, and I would recommend some additional form of cardio that helps target the lower body (like an eliptical or stair-climber), but I actually get a little sore from the upper body portion of this workout (which targets chest, triceps, biceps, deltoids, lats, shoulders, and mid-back). The bands are simple tools, and after having used the likes of Nautilus equipment I admit I was skeptical, but the bands deliver WHEN USED PROPERLY. I have done a few other Pilates and Yoga home systems and this tops them. The video cuts out all the mystical, glitzy crap and gets straight to the workout, which features only the instructor who explains very simply what to do. Best of all - no dance hall music! Great price, great product - an all around winner. Now, be advised: You will need a door that closes snug in which to secure the band ring. Also, I was a little disappointed to find that the video comes in VHS format only and I had to have a friend burn it to DVD before I could use it. But it was worth it.

Forget this kit. The handles are rubber and bend. So your hands will get very irritated unless you wear some really stiff gloves to replace the function of the handles. Everything else is cheap but ok.

This is the first time I've used any form of Pilates equipment, I found it easy to use; but the DVD was pretty generic so I went online to watch more exercise routines. Overall, the product for the price was good.

Very unimpressed with this kit. I ordered it through an incentive program so I'm thrilled I didn't waste my own money on it. I got it last year and have used it maybe twice. I love to exercise but after I watched the DVD (which is a woman in her home exercising), I didn't even bother opening the yoga mat. The manufacturers are probably making boatloads of money off this because it appears to me that it cost about $3.00 to put it all together. Sorry... no good!

I have been doing Pilates with band resistance for a few months and can definitely feel the difference. The only weakness I would say in the video is that for beginners or even medium workouts I think that on the DVD she should have pointed out more that you CAN take a short break, and also for beginners, to use the lightest band. She is in great shape and can do the exercises without rest. This is ideal but you have to work up to that. Otherwise it is a great starter kit and a very good video.
