I bought the Samsung A500 and the Sprint PCS Phone from Radio Shack. I love the idea of using a camera with my cell phone, and that has proven to be totally cool and fun, BUT I am returning my camera. The picture quality is so bad that I find the camera unusable in most situations. There is no flash, so indoor pictures even in the best light don't come out. Outdoor pictures look better, but you have to hold the camera very steady or it will be blurry. Forget about any kind of movement. I have still been unable to get my dog in a picture as anything but a blur. The camera's design put's one of your fingers right in front of the lens, so when you think you might have a good pic, it has your finger instead. This camera doesn't have an independent image viewer, so to see what your pictures look like, you need to connect the phone and then upload the pictures one at a time. This is a time consuming process. Once the pictures are on the web, the pcs system for manipulating storing and email is good. One of the cool features they show on the commercial is caller id showing a picture of the person calling. This feature crashes my phone. I have not yet called sprint about this, so maybe it is just me.

I love my A500 Samsung phone! I even like the camera and how Sprint has set it up so you can share pictures. I can even put up with the low quality of the photos because it is understandable that they are trying to keep the files small. I could put up with all that much better if I could take pictures indoors or at night. The camera has no flash. Most of the times when I want to share a moment, the quality is really aweful. If you get the camera for free in a package it is worth playing with it and when you can get a good picture you'll be happy, but the unless you're always shooting outside, you will be dissapointed.

i found you can purchase this camera new at your local sprint store for ten bucks.
