5.0 out of 5 stars "Cool" fan!
I have two of these fans, one in my home office and one at work. To me, they are indispensable in maintaining a more comfortable environment, especially as a cubicle dweller at work. 5.0 out of 5 stars "Cool" fan!, August 2, 2009

I have two of these fans, one in my home office and one at work. To me, they are indispensable in maintaining a more comfortable environment, especially as a cubicle dweller at work. They move an easily adequate volume of air - I rarely turn it above the low speed setting. One kind of nice side benefit is that the sound from the fan, while obviously not silent, does create a "white noise" that is somewhat effective in drowning out ambient sounds while not being annoying. If you are looking for a small footprint fan for a space inside of 8x8', this one is highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars highly recommended, August 14, 2010

I started with one of these for my bedroom and love it so much that I purchased 3 more for other rooms. I am allergic to dust and the ionizer clears the air of airborne dust leaving it fresh, clean, odorless. No more sneezing and congestion. The design is very cool too. I love this product and so will you! Enjoy!

4.0 out of 5 stars Far from spectacular, but serves my purpose..., May 23, 2007

This little fan is adequate to the task of blowing your hair back at a gentle pace, but it's just a little less powerful than I was hoping for. Granted, I bought it for its compact size and low noise (since its main employ will be to stir up the air at my place of business), but I was hoping that it had enough power to feel the breeze further than a mere 7' away. Ultimately, it'll do what I and my co-workers need it to do, but I was kinda disappointed by the lack of power it has.

Its small stature and ability to tuck away into tight spaces makes it very convenient, and the buttons on the front are admittedly pretty cool. The fact that it oscillates on its own pedestal is a definite advantage since it doesn't knock over whatever we set next to it. Ultimately, I'm not sure it's worth the relatively high purchase price, especially when there are other, more cost-effective means of propelling air around the room (and with more power to boot)... but for our purposes here in the office, it'll serve our purpose.

2.0 out of 5 stars At least the return process was easy..., March 2, 2011

I bought this fan to replace a 10 year old personal fan on my desk at work. I wanted something that was a little more vertical and would better match the colors of other electronics on/around my desk. The product was packaged well by Amazon, it it was here on time. When I removed the product from the manufacturer's packaging, it looked like someone had used it at a lumber yard for 6 months, then returned it. There were deep scratches and gouges all over the front of it. I requested a replacement from Amazon, and the replacement was here the next day.

(5 stars for Amazon customer service!)

The replacement was also packaged properly by Amazon, but again, when I removed the product from the manufacturer's packaging, there were gouges and scratches all over the side. It also looks like the surfaces were once dirty and simply cleaned. I felt a little cheated by the fact it was advertised as "new." Perhaps it was new, and it was just handled poorly by the manufacturer (for example, they don't protect the surfaces of the fan from the metal prongs of the power cord). I thought I could live with the scratches this time, since they were more or less on the side, out of plain view from the front, so I plugged it in and set it up on my desk.

After a little less than one day's use, the oscillating feature has stopped working. So, this one's going back, too.

Thank God it's Amazon, and they will, no doubt exhibit their superior customer service again. But, if the third one's scratched up, or a dud, I'm going to look at another product.

This fan is the quietest one I have found. It performs as advertised and it's a good value for the $$$$.

The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I have not figured out where the ionizer is or if you can clean it. The directions say that it should be serviced every year so maybe that is when it gets cleaned. I really like the small size and it is quiet.

2.0 out of 5 stars Fan is relatively quiet, but too much vibration noise, December 17, 2010

I like the overall design of this fan. It has a small footprint, and it looks nice on my work desk. I was looking for a small fan for my desk as my work office is hot all year round. However, the ideal fan needs to be quiet enough not to interfere with speakerphone conference calls. I can only have it on the low setting while on a call--any higher setting is too loud. I could deal with keeping it on the low setting, however, the dealbreak for me is the random vibration from the unit whether it is stationary or oscillating. If the vibration was consistent and not random, I could write it off as white noise. I've tried placing the fan on a mousepad to absorb the vibration, but the fan housing still vibrates. I'm not fond of the loud beeping either to change the settings. I would definitely have chosen a different fan to suit my needs.

I ordered this fan for my office cubical. It is wonderful for that small area. It is a great size and is very powerful. Haven't had the setting above low. Two of my other co-workers wanted one, so I ordered them each one. They are pleased as well.

This product is just a few inches wide by 16 or so tall. It sits perfectly next to my monitor at work and keeps me cool on the lowest sitting, without making any audible noise outside of my cube. Great little fan.
