Product Description

The ultimate SQL weapon has been unleashed! Nakamichi's SPW-1210 is the perfect storm of power and precision. As with all Nakamichi products, sound quality is the primary focus. Not surprisingly, Nak delivers on their promise of a precise, controlled low end resonance, where no distortion exists. These classic Nak concepts have been merged with a 25 pound SPL Subwoofer which effortlessly handles 600 Watts of real world RMS power. Dual 2 ohm Voice Coils can suck all the juice from your amp, and the oversized proprietary surround combined with a double stacked 160 oz magnet ensure smooth uninterrupted linear travel. There is no reason to settle for less, Nakamichi's mobile subwoofer is your only choice for unsurpassed bass reproduction.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mind boggling high quality bass!!!, November 13, 2011
This review is from: SPW-1210 - Nakamichi 12" 1200 Watt 2 Ohm Dual Voice Coil Sound Quality Competition Subwoofer (Electronics)
I am very picky about sound quality and this woofer is awesome. I have it in a 1.1 cubic foot sealed box being powered by a Hifonics BRZ 1700.1D and OMG! It is in the back of my Chevy Venture minivan and the bass hits so clean and hard. It has the quality punch of live music. The amp driving it CEA-2006 certified with a true RMS rating of 1700 watts at 1 ohm. It is a dual 2 ohm sub that can be wired at 1 or 4 ohms. Mine is wired at 1 ohm and it sucks up all the power of this amp with no distortion or woofer bottoming!! Get one of these subs and a big beefy amp and your friends will all be blown away and jealous. Hurry though because the quantities are limited.

Ok, just got the sub to replace a fosgate p3 12" dvc(dual voice coil) shallow mount truck speaker. i love the sound. hits harder, lower and cleaner. Im powering it with a 1200 watt(600 watt RMS) pioneer class d mono amp (which is great too, absolutly no heat!). Ive got it in a 1.5 cubic ft box ported to 50hrtz. it sounds A LOT better than the fosgate did ( but to be fair the fosgate was a shallow truck speaker meant for limited box space). believe me im an audiophile i gotta have good sound or i go nutz, not one of these guys hookin up a woofer to stock system and rolling down the street to look cool. overall i think that it is a great buy the quality is outstanding a perfect addition to my wonderfull MB Quart premium components. the only thing is if you have a 2 ohm stable amp and not a 1 ohm you gotta run it at 4 ohms impeadence because the dvc on the nak are 2 ohms. where as the fosgate was a 4ohm dvc so you could wire it up 2 ohm stable.which i didnt notice before i bought it, but at 4 ohms it hits wonderfully. aloha, mahalos, and shaka shaka ;)
