We have these as under the counter lights. They're uniformly awful. They work for a few month, if you are lucky. Then the lamps don't make good contact with the sockets and go out. New bulbs obviously don't help. Sometimes you can clean the socket with contact cleaner and they'll work for a few more days, but then they go out again. Awful, awful, awful! Replaced with the "new and improved" version. Same problem. Tried another brand of these from another supplier with the same result. Avoid low-voltage halogen and xenon under counter lights.

Ah! I hear my wife screaming from the kitchen again. Those stupid lights must be out again.

Pros....Excellent lighting.

Cons....Bulbs burn out to offend.But you can find bulbs online for a fraction of the cost

at HomeDepot.

The locking hooks for the plastic lens housing,don't stay,so I had to put super glue on

them to hold in place,but even in time they work lose and fell(once in my tomato soup)If

a child was near,they could have gotten burn.

These lights would be great in a hutch or displace case,where there's not much activity

of movement.

All the lens and plastic frames are now removed,which is okay,as you can't see them,unless

you are 3 feet tall.

OKAY SO HERES THE REAL DEAL ON THESE LIGHTS: THE POSITIVE; 3 STAGE LIGHT SETTINGS WITH MOUNTABLE TOUCHPAD IS COOL. THE BAD THING ABOUT THESE LIGHTS; IVE REPLACED THEM 3 TIMES! THE TRANSFORMER YOU PLUG EACH OUTLET INTO CONTINUES TO BURN OUT THEY ARE VERY SENSITIVE TO CHANGE AND KICK THE LITTLE BREAKER INSIDE THEM. THEY ARE VERY FICKLE AND DO NOT ATTEMPT TO PLUG MORE THEN THREE LIGHTS INTO ONE TRANSFORMER. THE OTHER THING THEY DON'T TELL YOU IS THAT WHEN THE LIGHTS BURN OUT THEY ARE 4.60 EACH TO REPLACE AT HOME DEPOT / LOWES. I AM REMOVING MINE THIS WEEKEND AND REPLACING WITH DIRECT WIRE UNDER CABNIT LIGHTING. THESE LOOK GREAT BUT DO NOT PERFORM FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME WITHOUT FAILURE:( DON'T BE FOOLED THIS PRODUCT STINKS! THANKS:)

Once installed I was very happy with the product. But, you have to assemble the cord and it did not come out correct. The twist knob that attaches to the cord to turn on/off did not work properly. I would have given it 5 stars but problems with the cord brought it down to a 3.

I installed one of these a about 2 years ago, had problems with the lights falling apart, transformer going south, and the "touch" dimmer switch that I also ordered going south as well.It is a good looking, easy to install set, when it works.

I did not learn my lesson, and ordered another set to install in my daughter's kitchen 3 1/2 months ago, finally got around to install it, and the transformer only works on one of the two outputs. Tried to send it back and according to Amazon "Return Window expired"

Crappy product, crappy warranty,STAY AWAY!!

The lite package was pertect fit for what my customer wanted, could not find black finish in any store.

Purchased the complete 20 watt Halogen Under Cabinet Light Kit plus Touch Pad Dimmer about 6 years ago. It has never worked more than a few days. I have replaced every component at least once. Now the dimmer does not work. This stuff is garbage.

I purchased this light kit to go into an entertainment center. Setup was easy and everything works perfectly. I originally wanted to recess mount the lights but it requires you to drill a 2 1/4" hole, which is an odd size that I don't have the tools for. I instead just flush mounted them and for me that worked just fine. I don't think this is the most practical lighting solution for under cabinets, but for china cabinets, entertainment centers, etc. it's a good product for a good price.
