Bought these to replace old sifters on a 21sp MTB/Cruiser, With Shimano tourney derailleurs. Shifting is quick n crisp. I do a lot of off/on road commuting, In a rolling hilly area. "Not fun missing a gear" Feel more confident with these shifters. I'm ordering a second set. Just to have on hand !!!

SRAM 3.0 Comp Mountain Bike Twist Shifter Set

I was seriously disappointed in this product, so much so that tomorrow it is coming back off
my wife's bike and going in the trash can. (Here's the scoop) I saw this product online and
read the reviews, seamed like the answer to my wife's weak thumb problem. First I tried to
get it locally at REI, the mechanic was more than willing to sell me the wrong shifter
( only the 3.0 comp ) works right on the 1.1 SRAM ratio the others are intended for working
with Shimano 2.1 ratio, I went to three bike stores and two of them didn't understand this.
Anyway I came back to Amazon got the better price, but had to wait a week to get the product.
First problem I noticed is shifter for the front derailer had three numbers on it 1 - 2 - 3
this much was good, but it has seven clicks for adjustment? The rear derailer shifter also has
seven, but this is correct for the seven gears. So I ask myself what happened at the factory?
I actually put it on the bike for the heck of it as I had already spent so much time pulling
the grips, brakes and cables off the bike in preparation. It does shift every 2.3 clicks -LOL
- I installed the back and it almost works like intended, but seams a little sloppy, my wife
said it shifted by itself so I guess that's a ghost shift. I never knew what that was before
reading others post differently on this shifters above review section. Anyway don't waist your
time people, I SO WANTED THIS SHIFTER TO WORK, it is not worth you consumer time. Best of luck
