I've been a SRAM Force fan for years now although I must also admit that it is the only modern, higher-end group I've used. That said, it generally shifts well and has been quite reliable. I've knocked off a couple of stars because of the one exception to that rule: I had to replace my shifter because the shift paddle actually snapped clean off during a shift one day, leaving me to complete the ride on a two-speed bike. This was not the only incident of its kind that I've heard of, so it might be wise to consider these rather pricey items somewhat fragile.

I ordered a SRAM Force Doubletap with Zero Loss right-hand 10-speed shifter as a replacement for the original one I had on my road bike. I installed it, as well as replaced the rear derailleur and rear brake cables, and then fine-tuned the derailleur shifting required because of the new cable. It took approximately one hour to get this work done and, now after 200+miles, I haven't had to re-adjust the cables and rear derailleur yet. I'm very satisfied with the shifter and I'm satisfied with the delivery of this part through Amazon since it was standard delivery and I received it in 5 business days.

Due to an encounter with my old arch enemy Gravity, I was in need of a single lever. I was pleasantly surprised to find the exact lever I needed at a much better price than any local bike shop could provide. Putting it in was not difficult and required just some basic hand tools and some basic patience. I kept the old lever for spare parts, and as a reminder that you shouldn't jump curbs on a Pinarello. I am completely happy with my purchase.
