Pull the trigger or mash the thumb lever and this thing will shift the chain onto other chain rings allowing you to go faster or pedal easier. What more could you want? Are there more expensive shifters out there? Sure are. Do said shifters shift any better than this one? Who knows because I didn't buy the more expensive ones, because I'm cheap and I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a part that could possibly be damaged in an OFT endover. If you're all about having the latest, lightest, priciest parts on your bike that are made out of titanium or latinum or some other alloy that is made in space, don't get this. If you want a part that is going to do as it's advertised for very little money, click "add to cart" and get it. Installs easily in seconds and depending on the deraileur you buy, has no issues whatsoever with functionality.
