They didn't work for me but that might just be my case.

I work 12 hour shifts and these glasses drastically reduce the eye strain I feel after these long days.

If I had to make a complaint, it would be that the lenses give the screen a bit of yellow tint.

I just got these glasses this morning and I've been using them for about five hours. I debated whether to give these four or five stars, in large part because I don't have anything to compare these against (other than my naked eye).

The first thing you will notice is the way they warm up the screen. I use a 24" LCD that has a fluorescent backlight (Samsung SyncMaster 245T 24" LCD Monitor) and the difference is best described as going from a fluorescent light to an incandescent.

The glasses have a yellow tint, but once I wore them for a few minutes and compared the glasses/no-glasses view, the no-glasses view felt cold and harsh.

Second, they are light. As a non-glasses-wearing type, I worried a bit about how they would feel, but they are fine.

Third, they fit snugly, but not tightly. This is a total bonus, since your face is probably different than mine.

Finally, a comment about the price. I paid $99 through Amazon. It felt a bit expensive, but I rationalized it as such: I stare at a computer about 12 hours a day during the week and about 5 hours a day during the weekend. This is about 3600 hours a year staring at a screen. If they last me a year, I will have paid 2.75 cents per hour of use.

For some reason this pair of glasses made my eyes very sore in a short amount of time, despite the general very positive reviews here. The lenses seem to have a magnifying effect. As soon as I put them on, I could feel that my eye muscles were forced to work hard and adjusting to the seemingly closer distance of the monitor. Within half of an hour, my eyes endured much more strain than without the glasses and I needed to take them off. I have 20/20 vision and didn't think that the glasses would be incompatible with me. Perhaps I need them to be custom-made for me.

I bought these glasses at amazon to relieve a little my eyesight ( I work at the computer all day long) but these glasses are uncomfortable because:
1) they change the view making me dizzy like when I wear prescription glasses from someone else - I dont use glasses.
2) They are not big enough so you keep seeing your regular view from the sides and the changed view through the glasses.

For me it was a waste of money.

I've been using these glasses for a few days now. I work in IT and Design for a small firm in Chicago, and I am on a computer anywhere between 8 and 12 hours a day depending on my workload, and my availability to play some games when I get home. My eyes are always hurting me, but these actually did help... I was skeptical at first since its just some tinted glass, but surprisingly it does help with eye strain and my end of day head aches that come around 4:00 on the regular haven't returned since I started using these while working on the computer.

Glasses fit nicely, look decent (just like a nice pair of seeing glasses), and I've actually had some people in my office ask where I got them so they could get their own.

I would recommend these to anyone who is working on the computer all the time, or if you're a gamer it never hurts to protect yourself from the monitor you're sitting in front of until late hours of the night...

Also I will say, I play StarCraft 2 pretty frequently, and the colors in the game really do pop when you put these glasses on. When they say these give you more detail and better focus, they aren't making it up... You can see a major contrast difference after you wear them for a while and then try to go without them. Without the glasses everything seems a little more bleek.

I gave them 4/5 instead of 5/5 because i wish the plastic they used was a little heavier, but the lightness of the glasses could appeal to someone who doesn't like to feel like they are wearing glasses.

It was a good experience trying these Gunnar Optiks. When I use it for a long time, and take them off afterward, i feel relaxed and no more strain like I always get after working hours. However, sometimes it may cause slight headache at first, but in general I like it, it works and i will continue using it.

4 stars for the quality, it could be better.

These glasses are comfortable fit, light and well built. I'm surprised it even fit comfortably on my big head. Even the case it came with was sturdy and nice looking. The glasses gets some time to get use to, but once you eyes have adjusted i think they work great.

I was skeptical but still hopeful that these would help with my eye strain at work and while gaming at home. Staring at a screen for 10 hours and then gaming for another 4 hours afterward is really painful even when I take eye breaks and use moisturizing drops. I have worn the glasses for 2 work weeks and one marathon gaming weekend and I can say I never want to look at a computer screen without them ever again.

Now that I am used to wearing them, looking directly at a screen is very uncomfortable, to put it mildly. It's more like having someone poke my eyes with bamboo skewers. This is especially true with white backgrounds. The Gunnars are great because I can keep my screen nice and bright to see all the teeny little spreadsheet numbers without having my eyes brutalized by the glare. After looking directly at an unfiltered screen for a few minutes, putting my glasses back on is like slipping my eyeballs into a soothing warm bath.

Since this pair is not designed for gaming, my experience with them over the weekend was less impressive than during the work week. What I saved myself in eyestrain was made up by the headache from my headset smashing the earpieces into my head. I am actually here today to buy a headset compatible pair and I think I will benefit additionally from the wider coverage provided by the gaming models. I don't mind having my screen "boxed" by the rims of my glasses while working but don't want my visual field broken by anything when playing.

There are two things I don't like about them. First, the glasses do have a slight positive correction and since I already have a major vision correction, the small degree of magnification by the glasses makes things just a little bit off.
