Parts fit better than I anticipated,

From all of the images I had seen of this figure, I wasn't very excited about it. But I'm a big SW nerd and an even bigger nerd when it comes to this fussy protocol droid (he's my favorite character in the saga) so I bought the figure anyway. I was very pleased to discover that the parts fit onto the figure much more tightly than the images suggest. He looks like a banged up version of the droid you know and not like a droid whose shell is too big (like in the images). He doesn't do much else but stand there and the storage box he comes with is pretty much a waste of plastic (I used it to hold the kouhuns from the R2 figure and then put the whole mess away) but these are minor quibbles. The figure itself is cool and he looks great on the shelf with the rest of my C-3POs in their "C-3PO Through the Ages" lineup.

The quality of the AOTC action figure series is much better than those of the other series. All the figures are more detailed, with better paint job, and more interactions. This C-3PO is no exception. Get them while they last!

I might get because I have a Padme and Anakin Secret Ceremony and I would maybe like a episode II Threeeeeeeeepio to go with them and a regular R2-D2.

This action figure doesn't have that many points of articulation and it isn't very durable either. Not that much fun to play with, and overall it's kind of boring.

Curiously enough, the main feature of this toy, the ability to put 3PO's coverings on his body, was NOT featured in the movie! When Anakin and Padme meet up with 3PO, his coverings are already on, suggesting that this toy was based on a scene that was cut from the movie.Overall, this is a pretty nice toy. The ability to put 3PO's coverings on gives the buyer something else to do besides stare at the figure, which was the main problem of the Episode One version of C-3PO: you paid for a piece of plastic with five points of articulation and that was it. HOWEVER, the paint job on the Episode One 3PO figure blows this one completely away. There's not nearly enough detail in 3PO's internal wires and gears like there was in the other figure, which was truly remarkable. Still, this is a complaint coming from someone who likes Star Wars action figures, but is WAY over the suggested age range, and somewhat nitpicky. Little kids will probably have no complaints except that the coverings might occasionally fall off (they are plugged into 3PO's body, they don't snap on for a perfect fit), but that is acceptable. The extra case for carrying the coverings is a nice bonus. All in all, another nice Ep II figure. Not a priority to buy, but not one to be passed up either.

When I bought 3PO the first time I returned because he doesn't look good with his plates on. But last month I became serious about collecting the figures (now i'm a fanatic). I bought the figure again. The chest plate is very difficult to put on but that may be just me.Otherwise he is pretty cool.He is difficult to stand up but thats nothing a little sticky tack can't handle. All in All 3PO is a good figure.
