I just tried this product with a Dell 19 in. flat screen monitor and two Dell PCs. One PC runs XP and it works fine with the switch. The other PC runs Vista and the image on the monitor, although usable, has quite a bit of ghosting. Unfortunately, it is my main PC.
I contacted Startech tech support and was informed that this product was never meant for use on monitors with resolution greater than 1024x768 pixels and that I should use an electronic switch instead. Since all recent monitors and PCs greatly exceed this resolution, I returned the unit and Amazon refunded my purchase.

I guess I can't expect too much for money I spent but they could put little bit more time on cosmetic. If you don't mind how it looks, this is OK device

This switch box does its job fine, except that it introduces some ghosting of images on my Dell 1750 LCD monitor.
