From Kirkus Reviews

"A truly imaginative, unique page-turner that will leave readers wanting more."-Kirkus

Review

"The latest mystery by Holy Ghost Writer dazzles with a tale of computer hacking, legal wrangling and kung-fu fighting.

"International playgirl and jet-setter Zaydee is in love with investigative journalist Steven Larson, who is writing an exposé of the Bilderberg Group. Zaydee believes Larson is in danger, so she hatches a complicated plan to help him by providing him with a safe house and starting up a new publication for him, staffed by computer hackers. However, when Zaydee is set up and betrayed by her investment broker, the FBI arrests her. Since she refuses to identify herself, the FBI agents book her under the clever name 'Princess Jane Doe.' However, she manages to take full advantage of her new royal title by using the esoteric Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act as part of an international legal procedure to defend herself, without legal counsel, against unknown charges. As Zaydee becomes a media celebrity, her true identity remains a mystery to both the FBI and the general public. The author fills each chapter with intrigue, following Zaydee as she plots her escape from prison. The increasingly elaborate plot also features a math-genius professor and Yale University's Skull and Bones secret society. The author effectively keeps the reader guessing each character's allegiance as well as Zaydee's eventual endgame. In the end, readers may be left wondering about the mysterious and colorful Zaydee's true backstory--as well as author Holy Ghost Writer's true identity.

"A truly imaginative, unique page-turner that will leave readers wanting more." -Kirkus

5.0 out of 5 stars Not your damsel in distress! September 3, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
My preferred heroine is not someone who just wait for her prince charming to come and rescue her. She should be brave, intelligent and knows how to get what she wants... And Zaydee was all that and more.

Aside from the fact that the main character was very ideal for me, I love the way the author put the story together. It was fast-paced, no dull moments and it was written beautifully that it's so vivid you would feel you're just like watching a movie.

Will surely look forward for more books from this author!

5.0 out of 5 stars Crime Drama at its best! September 2, 2012

Cancel all of your plans when you start reading this book because you will not want to do anything except read. This is truly one of the best books that I have read in a while. I started missing the characters and being immersed in the story as soon as I was finished reading. The author does a great job of developing a great crime drama story and makes the book come to life. "That Girl Started Her Own Country" is a must read for fans of the Steig Larsson books and you will love the character Zaydee. I cannot wait to see what the Holy Ghost Writer will bring us next.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazingly creative book! September 1, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I must say that I really enjoyed reading "The Girl Who Started Her Own Country", what a great tittle for a book! It is one of those books that once you get into the flow of it, you will not want to stop reading and I think that I may have never read a book as fast as I did with this one. The storyline is fantastic and it kept me griped from the start all throughout the whole book. I truly got lost in this book which is a thing that rarely happens to me. My only wish is that this book was longer as I didn't want it do end. It is a great book which captured my imagination with an awesome adventure storyline and plot.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gripping thriller September 3, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I was not familiar with the Holy Ghost Writer until this book but certainly, I will have to check out other works by HGW. Zaydee is a very slick character (and she's female, which makes it that much more interesting). Great characters (Steven and Zaydee are well developed) and if you're a fan of thrillers and suspense (like myself), this book is why you read them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved Zaydee! September 2, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I love these books! I really love Steig Larsson's books, so when I saw this one I of course jumped on it! I love reading about Zaydee. She's such a cool character and her relationship with Steven Larsson is interesting. Zaydee is secretly helping Steven with an expose. Steven doesn't even know that it's actually Zaydee helping him, so it makes their relationship really fun. She risks a lot for Steven just to keep him honest and on the top of his game. I like that she plays dirty while Steven is seen as really straight laced. It's an interesting dichotomy. Plus, a nation where women rule the world? Umm...hello awesomeness! Really good book! I recommend it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Woooow! September 3, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
One of the best books I have ever read. So thrilling, that I had to read it at once.

That Girl Started Her Own Country comes with breath-taking adventure, that connects a nowadays story with the one of the Monte Christo.

I really recommend this book to anyone seeking adventure and thrilling story!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book! September 1, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I'm a pretty big fan of crime/thriller type novels. This one is right up there with as one of my favorites. The pacing of the book was great, and I found it hard to put down once I got started. Characters were well thought out, and the writing was terrific. I highly recommend picking this one up. Give it a shot and you won't be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Will sweep you into its furious, page-turning action September 7, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Length: 1:10 Mins
"That Girl Started Her Own Country" promises to tear a wide path across the limits of your imagination and sweep you into its furious, page-turning action as you struggle to keep pace with the principle character: Ritual serial-killer come jet-setting playgirl, Zaydee. The hearts of her many sexual conquests -- both male and female -- lying broken and dying by the dozens in her wake...

With a seemingly endless supply of cash, high-tech and super-hacker minions, Zaydee is on a mission to crush the powerful, international, secret society that now threatens the life of her one, true love: Journalist Steven Larson -- whose probing investigations have led him just a little too close to the truth for his own good...

That's okay... Zaydee's got his back (and that's sayin' sumpthin'!) Little by little, she'll allow him to discover a new clue here and there while she plays like a cat with a mouse on a string...

Then she'll pull out all the stops to prove to the members of this nefarious, "Illuminati-like" association that they are no match for the sheer hurricane-force of her will.

In so doing, Zaydee will not only change the outcome of their evil plans, she will mold the world to her liking and go on to found her own country -- a country where women (make that ONE "woman") rule!

And, as we all might be able to guess, the woman destined to rule the new country (in a pair of iron stiletto heels) can be none other than the unstoppable, fearless and devastating "Typhoon Zaydee".
