5.0 out of 5 stars Keeps Food Insulated and Your Child Safe
I love this! We have had it for two years and it reminds the teacher's of Jude's peanut allergy. It also is simply a wonderful lunch bag. We are hard on our stuff and we have been through two backpacks this year. Yet, the lunch bag is in perfect condition. The bright red color is also a plus since I can easily identify the bag from across the room. To keep it "hip", I...

3.0 out of 5 stars Relies on Velcro to stay closed
For the most part this is a good lunchbox but it only uses two strips of velcro to keep it closed. A zipper would work much better. Also, note the size. It's BIG. I bought it for toddler snacks but it would be more appropriate for a big kid school lunch.

2.0 out of 5 stars looks well made, but doesn't hold up well, December 9, 2011

I bought this for my 9 year old son to take to school during the 2010-2011 school year. First of all the "Allergies" label across the top is just paper and the first time it gets wet the ink will run. The "sewn on" patch on the front falls right off also. At that point it's just an overly expensive red lunch sack. The interior is lined with cheap white plastic that ripped a few weeks into the school year. I loved the idea of this bag and when it was new it appeared to have been well constructed but it just didn't hold up. I would not recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must have for children with nut allerfies, December 27, 2010

My daughter had a severe and life threatening allergy to peanuts and tree nuts. She goes to public school - which has no real rules on nuts in the school (allergy kids sit at the end of the table). Most people are very uneducated about nut allergies (Not their fault - but they think that as long as a child doesn't eat it, they're okay...which is not the case. This is a particle allergy, and just being near nuts can trigger a reaction), so it makes me feel good that all in the lunch area of ths school know my daughter has this allergy and react accordingly.

I bought this lunch bag for my 5 year old son that has multiple life threatening food allergies. His teacher and the nurse do not go to the cafeteria with him. I want to make sure anyone in the cafeteria knows he has multiple food allergies. I have been having a hard time educating them regarding the seriousness of his food allergies. I hope this helps.
