5.0 out of 5 stars Damn Awesome!
This CD is just mind blowing. I can't believe how great this band is especially during an age of some terrible modern rock bands. Overall the Catheters just rock so buy this CD now and support this great band!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun, filthy garage punk, but nothing original
The Catheters sound like the Hives trying to sound like the Stooges and Mudhoney. And they do a good enough job. It's a fun album to rock out to, but there's nothing unique about it. Standard, formula rock. VERSE CHORUS VERSE CHORUS SOLO CHORUS CHORUS all the songs sound like songs you've heard before. But if you don't mind that, give it a shot. And the kids in the...

4.0 out of 5 stars Turn off your radio and turn on The Catheters, June 10, 2003
This is what its all about. Wow, if only you knew. Probably one of the top Seattle bands at the moment (playing this coming weekend, hope to catch them) this album will blow your mind. Lots of the Stooges in their sound - but theres lots lots more, buy this now , crank it up and breathe the air.

5.0 out of 5 stars Subpop strikes gold again, May 27, 2002

Over the years, Subpop has found many diamonds in the rough. And this is their latest little gem. The Catheters mix the older rock sound of The Strokes with the gritty angst of Nirvana and even add a slight hardcore influence.

Static Delusions flows very well too, there are a few low points but there are many more high points, especially my favorite song on the album, Nothing.

And the kids in the band are pretty cute, which is always a plus. (that's why I bought their album in the first place -- a saw their picture and thought they were hot... but don't tell anyone, Kay?)

5.0 out of 5 stars RAWK!!!, May 20, 2002

This is the best up and coming band in Seattle right now. Besides being ... HOT they are ... good musicians. If you have a chance to check these guys out...do it!

4.0 out of 5 stars energy, April 21, 2002
Read a review of this band which claimed that this album has the energy and ferociousness as Stooges "Raw Power" and I have to agree. These guys truly play with their heart on their sleeve -- they lay it all out there. Although I am not a big fan of comparisons, The Catheter's fall somewhere between The Strokes and The Hives but they for sure have their identity. This is good, quality rock.

5.0 out of 5 stars wow..., June 14, 2002
I don't know what to say here, except that this album is one of the best I've heard in a long time. Their sound is very versatile, and they've fit in at both a mainly hardcore show as well as a more generic punk show. The combinations of sounds that they use is amazing. What a great band...

5.0 out of 5 stars Favorite Release of 2002, so far., May 11, 2002

This album rocks and rocks great. The Catheters sound like Mudhoney or Nirvana imitating the Backyard Babies. Two parts punk, two parts grunge, and one part glam. Awesome stuff.
