About the Author
Ira Steven Behr and Robert Hewitt Wolfe met while working for theSouth Downs Holding Company in the sleepy duchy of Rohan (arelatively obscure country near Liechtenstein}. Their first jobtogether was to dispose of a dangerous piece of radioactivematerial shaped like a plain gold Ring. Unfortunately the Ringonce belonged to a rather irascible mogul (the Chairman of theBoard of Barad-dur, Ltd.) who was determined to get it back. Behrand Wolfe's friendship grew over the course of their long andperil-fraught journey. Together they traveled through Eriador, climbed Caradhras Mountain, wandered the Dimrill Dale, andkayaked the Anduin River, on a seemingly endless quest across theglobe. Finally, broke, tired, and possessed of a desperate urgeto write for television, the two friends tossed the Ring into afiery pit (just outside Las Vegas, Nevada} and moved toHollywood. Now they spend their time happily eating six meals a day, combingtheir furry feet, and writing numerous episodes of the popularsyndicated series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
