CAR STEREO CASSETTE ADAPTER FOR IPOD/MP3/CD PLAYER

I bought this unit because I needed to hook up my MP3 player to my car stereo. It plays music from the IPod, but the problem is that when you put it in the cassette deck, right away it starts making noise like it's trying to rewind the cassette. The noise doesn't stop and it's so loud that even when the radio cranked up all the way, you can still hear awful screeching noise. I found one at Menards (home improvement store) for $10 made by Phillips and it works just fine.

I purchased this item and did not receive it
For almost 3 weeks! Then when I finally received it, upon putting it is, it broke! I contacted the seller and he apologized and told me he would send me another one. I never received it. I guess I'll have to take the loss but BUYER

Shipment was prompt and complete as ordered.

I almost didn't order after reading the reviews. And I was saying the same things when I first tried it, low volume and poor fidelity. Looking closely at the head I noticed a piece of protective film over the playback head. After removal volume was good and the fidelity was great.
No literaure came with the adapter and nothing alerts you to remove the film, but what a difference.

works great. Sound is fine. Does what its supposed to...plays my MP3s. Great price also.

I was skeptical at first, but when I plugged it into my stock truck stereo (97 GMC Sierra), the sound was fabulous. Thank God I don't have to install a new stereo to play my Itunes!!!

To those who wrote bad reviews... did you peel off the plastic protector that was on the center head of the cassette? I left one on just to see what it sounds like, and it sounded exactly like how the users who rated this item low said it sounded. So be sure to peel off the plastic protector, and these work perfectly. Very pleased with the great value.

It gets better with "age." I no longer need my CD system -- don't tell Sony! What a deal. The first time I used it, there were a few kinks to work out, but after a few plays, the sound was fantastic. Don't hesitate to buy it. I use it with my iPod touch. Couldn't be easier to use!

The first car stero cassette adapter for our IPOD did not work. I emailed the seller and was delighted when we recieved another one in the mail. It works great! Any one can get a lemon now & then, the most important part is the seller did replace it once notified of the problem. So if you have a problem with any item you buy you want to purchase from a seller would will step up to the plate and take action to correct it. After all it wasn't their fault that there was a problem.

I had very low expectations for this very low-priced adapter.

I was not disappointed though.

The positive is that it works. Plain and simple.

The cons are that I can hear a small squeaking noise when this plays back. And I would have loved to have a slightly smaller 1/8" connector because it doesn't fit well with my iPhone 4 case that I use, but for the price, this can't be beat and I would recommend it again to others.

I actually bought two thinking that this was really cheap and would stop working, but I've had it for months, getting daily usage, and the first one is still holding up well.

I purchased two of this adapter. Not only did the first one not perform as stated, but the second one did the same thing. They produced sound on the right channel only. To make sure that it wasn't my cassette player, I bought an adapter from Radio Shack which worked perfectly. This is the first time I have had a problem with a product purchased on amazon. Save your money. Buy another product.
