Lots of typos and errors in the book. As the other reviewers have said, all Steve Perry fans are starved for a book on Steve Perry. So, I bought this book as a present to myself and found typo after typo and it is hard to follow. Very poorly written. Please someone write a book on Steve Perry, or how about Steve Perry please write a book on yourself so it is done right!!

I asked for this book for Christmas because I am honestly starved for Steve Perry info. That was my first mistake. I understand that to date, this is the first book written about Steve Perry. A good book about this great singer is long overdue. The problem is that this book is hard to follow and understand. There are far too many typos and errors in this book to make it enjoyable to read. The idea behind the book is great. Unfortunately, this author just could not produce a story that this Steve Perry fan of 28 years was impressed with. It was not what it should have been. I am still waiting for that well written book about my favorite singer, Steve Perry. Any takers?

I won't elaborate on the technical errors (grammar and typos) in this book since other reviewers have illustrated its lack of proof-reading. I bought this book because I recently became a fan of Steve Perry as a solo artist and member of Journey and really wanted some insight into the background of his songs and why he is depicted as a difficult person by other Journey members. I learned more from reading internet blogs and record covers than what this author offers as a tribute to Perry! This is an author opining about her feelings for Steve; there is nothing in this book that can be considered an "original" thought. The is a total lack of research and effort put forward I can't help to wonder how it was published. It is a disservice to "The Voice"; I must agree with the other reviewers-someone please write a biography of Steve that gives us an accurate picture of the man behind some of the most beautiful and heartfelt music ever written.
