I have a Panasonic KX-TG5110M set of three cordless phones and using these nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries has made a big difference. We have no dropped calls, we have better reception at longer distances, and can talk long between charges. we shouldn't have to replace these batteries for 2 or 3 years. We don't have to worry about letting them drain before recharging them. NiMH batteries are better batteries than nickel Cadmium (NiCD) batteries because they do not have memory effects. That means you can charge them from any level. Just leave them in the charger stand when you are not talking on them.

This is the first time I replaced the batteries in my cordless phone with NiMH replacements my old ones were NICAD. I use to have intermittently dropping of the connection with the old NICAD batteries. Now I have no more connection problems and a much longer talk time.
When I first got these batteries, I made sure they charged up completely (24 hours or more) before I used them. The NiMH batteries don't have the memory problems that NICADs do, so you can leave the on the charging stand without problems. Ever 6 month (or if your kid completely drains the battery), I recondition my batteries by letting the completely drained battery recharge completely (24 hours or more) before using them them again. This will make your batteries give you good results for about 3 years which is the shelf life of a NiMH (whether the battery is used or not). So use them! I am extremely happy with these batteries.

I agree with other reviewers about the very poor performance of the stock panasonic phone batteries. These easily last twice as long! I always hated the short battery life of stock batteries and was ready to get a new phone. The only thing that saved the phone from the trash was that it was expensive and that it came with two handsets that let me switch between them. Since I got these batteries, I haven't had to switch handsets while talking due to a low battery.
