I was astounded at the amount of new, clear, and useful information in this book that isn't available in the other books that I've read on this subject. Finally, there are some sensible rules to apply in cutting my company's considerable annual slip-and-fall losses. Other slip and fall books I've seen are mainly for lawyers litigating on injury cases, not for people like me who are trying to prevent accidents from happening in the first place. It especially impressed me that the guidelines in Sotter's book fit specific practical situations, far from the "one size fits all" approach that I've seen recommended by others in the past. I expect this book to pay for itself hundreds of times over at our company's properties.
