Product Description

NEW STRiPiNATOR ® Model MWS-808 Manual Wire Stripping Machine Model by BLUEROCK ® TOOLS TURN THAT PILE OF WIRE INTO A PILE OF CASH!! SPECIFICATIONS: Wire Range: 14AWG - 1-1/2" OD THIS MACHINE CAN STRIP ROMEX® BRAND CABLE AND OTHER NM CABLE! ONE OF THE ONLY MANUAL WIRE STRIPPING MACHINES ON THE MARKET THAT I KNOW OF THAT STRIPS ROMEX®!! 9 Channels of Cutters 9 Cutting Blades Cutting Speed: Depends on the user DON'T WASTE TIME WITH THE OTHER MANUAL WIRE STRIPPERS THAT YOU HAVE TO ADJUST EVERYTIME YOU CHANGE WIRE SIZES!!! THIS MACHINE AUTOMATICALLY ADJUSTS!!!! What seperates this manual machine from the competition is the above statement. Anyone that's used a standard wire stipper knows that it takes a lot of time and man power to adjust the blade up and down and up and down. This machine saves you that time. Basically there is 1 set of cutter/roller. It's made to cut the tops of wire. The spring loaded mechanism on the top allows you to adjust the tension of the cutters depending on what wire or jacket size you are cutting- this prolongs the blade life. We carry spare parts in stock for this machine, so if you need anything in the future, feel free to contact us. Spare Blades are $5 per blade and there are 9 blades per machine. This is a high quality Benchtop Wire Stripper that's made to last. Give us a call if you have any questions about our machine at 206-604-8363. Thanks for the interest and let us know if you have any other questions. -PATENT PENDING- ROMEX® is a registered trademark of Southwire Company

I am in the electrical industry and get about 30 pounds of scrap copper a week. I realized that I was throwing away money by not stripping what I had. After spending days online researching and debating spending up to $2,000 on an electric model I ended up deciding on this 808. I am so happy. The product is amazing. It auto adjust which is huge and really works great. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a stripper. If you are on the fence as I was, let this review make your decision. Also, I was given a 2 week expected shipping range. It got to me in 3 days. Buy this product from Newman Trading Co. and you will be thanking the review guy (me) for helping you make the right decision.

Awesome little machine. Especially for the price. If you're not opposed to manually cranking this product, it beats the hell out of a razor knife. So far I've been using it mostly to clear the shop floor of short reels of 10 and 12 solid and stranded. Haven't had much luck getting romex to pass through right but I think It's operator error more so than mechanical shortcoming. It's a really simple machine, made of cast iron. Very little to go wrong with it. Keep grease in the gears and blades on the shaft and it should last a lifetime.

Well worth the money just in the time it saves you alone. It far surpasses every other wire stripping machine I have ever used. The only upgrade that would make this machine better would to be turned automatically by a machine versus hand crank.

For the money, this was probably an ok choice for the budget minded. Alternatives can be much more expensive. It performs not so well on the smaller gauges of wire because on this particular machine, the blades do not line up with the wire track. The wire tends to slip out from under the blade. Of course this machine has a no return policy on it once you use it. It was not until I used it that I recognized the flaws. The instructions that come with it are not clear on its operation but a relatively smart individual should be able to figure it out. I am still trying to figure out the tensions on the machine for particular wire sizes and types. Knowing what I know now, I would not buy this unless is was half the cost I paid fo it and I would have waited a little longer to invest in a better machine with more reviews. I have been using this machine off and on for a little over a month now.

As of today, I am much more satisfied with the machine than when I wrote the original review. With some adjustments in tensions and alignment, which needed to be discovered, I have been able to line the blades up with the guide tracks and am having much better success. The machine works pretty well and am now considering purchasing a motor to attach to it to make the process more efficient. I wish the literature that came with the machine was more detailed. This is a good starter machine for the money and if it were not for the discovery process involved, I would up the rating to 4 - 5 stars.

I run the Recycling Shop at a Prison for the Federal Bureau of Prisons. My inmates operate this machine under supervision. We have accumulated six 55 gallon containers of wire over the year and I purchased this to strip the wire. Before I came to this facility, other staff had the inmates strip the wire by hand. Due to risk of injury, I had them accumulate the wire until I figured out a different process. I decided on this machine. It works great, the tension of the machine has a learning curve... but once you figure it out, no problems. FYI: The tension on both sides of the machine should be about the same, if not, the blade with be offset slightly and will not cut down the middle of the wire. If the tension is not the same, it moves the blades to the left or right causing the machine not to cut down the middle of wire or it cuts parts of the wire only. Also, if the tension is set to much for the size of the wire, it will cut the copper causing it to splinter when you pull the copper out. Proper adjustment of the machine is key and you may have to adjust the tension often according to the size and type of wire you are stripping.

It does not do the 16 gauage or smaller wire, at least we haven't much luck with these sizes. It also does not cut the braided wire very well and the wire that has the thick white insulation around the copper that is underneath the wire coating.

Over all, this machine has made us money, and saved time!

solidly built, compact and easy to use. looks like the guys who put this together put some thought into the stripinator. ive only used a dozen times or so and so far so good. the price made me cringe a little bit but after the approximately 12 hours of use im glad i had it. im sure this tool saved me at least as manyhours and paid for itself by now. i should have bought this 20 years ago(dont know if it was around).if you think youll be stripping wire for the next 10,20,30 years, yes it goes that fast, get yourself one of these.i think they offer a model that hooks up to a drill, probably worth the extra cash.

I did a fair amount of research and believe this product was best suited for my needs. I have owned this product for about 3 weeks and it works well. I have already stripped over a hundred pounds of wire with it so my investment is well on its way to being paid off in the next 3 months. Where I live the bare bright gets you $1.00 more per pound of wire compared to the insulated wire. This product has stripped all lengths and thicknesses of wire and can handle them all. It works extremely well with solid wire for the smaller sizes which are most common for the wire that I get. Even if the wire has been bent or wrapped up, all you need to do straighten it out and feed it through slowly. The only issue I have is that the directions don't guide you very well which slot to use for each wire, which you would think is self explanatory, but when I tried a few different wires it had some difficulty or I had to run it through again. I have stuck to all the solid wire for now as the smaller #12 & #14 are tricky to peel the insulation off. Maybe I just need more time with it.
