I bought many different guides for taking the NREMT-P. Let me be completely honest with you and tell you that the absolute best study guide is the one you have in your bag... Yes, I'm talking about your medic bible. There's not a magical study guide (that I know of at least).
In my mind, theres 2 steps to passing the NREMT-P
Step #1 - Read your medic bible through 3 or 4 times.
Step #2 - Step #2 makes Step #1 easier. BUY THIS BOOK. Read it, test yourself, read it more, read your book, take notes, test yourself again, read your book... Yes, you'll probably hate your life while you are doing it but it is worth it in the end. I used this study guide as a way to challenge myself to read. I tested myself on a section, checked my answers, read in the back of the study guide why the answers were correct, and then looked up the ones I missed in the bible and read more about the topic.
I took the test in late 2008 for the first time and it stopped me at question #72 (the earlier is stops you, the better OR worse you did) and I passed. I truly thought that the questions on the NREMT-P were easier than the majority of the questions in the study guide. Your hard work will pay off! Just stay focused!

This book is fantastic in all respects. It goes hand in hand with the book Mr. Cherry wrote to teach the paramedic class as well citing page numbers, and sources along the way. It helped me pass my paramedic class, earn certification as well as my state lisc. as a proud EMT-Paramedic.

Great study guide for Paramedics, purchase this item when you start the a Paramedic class and be prepared.

If you need a good review that will step you through chapter by chapter I would definatly recomend this book. Its got lots of questions that vary in difficulty like the test with excelent rationales after each answer.

Great review book!!! I passed the intermediate in 1 try using this series. And now, I have passed the paramedic in 1 try using this book!!!! Questions are exactly like NREMT and it covers all the bloom levels that the real exam uses! Plus it has excellent reasonings for all answers. You will study for the exam in a real way and it even teaches you how to "read" the exam.

This book was a life saver for me, after bombing every section on the test 1st go around, slept w/this book for couple months and wallah 2nd time was the charm. Great study guide solo or for a group.

This book is a good review. Having the answers to the questions to keep on track helps. The only problem was some of the rationale for the answers was simply stating what the answer was and not why. But is a good practice on what you need to review more.

This book delivers exactly what it promised and is exactly what any Paramedic student needs. Just keep studying, testing and retesting until you start scoring high enough in the subjects you are struggling with. This book helped me polish a few of the subjects that were lacking in the formal portion of our Paramedic educations and I passed the registry the first time with flying colors. I hope this book does the same for you. I have already suggested it and gifted it to several friends who have all gone on to success! Good luck.

I just finished Paramedic school less then a month ago. I bought this book once class started and used it for all my tests. I passed my NREMT-P and this book was great. If your looking to get great questions the national will ask this is the book to get. IT has the answers and a small description on why it is the right answer. It also has the page location in the books to look up the answer. Great book Brady!

This is a good book if you want to find your weaknesses in paramedic class prior to testing for national registry. My class is using the Nancy Caroline version of the paramedic book, however, this Brady review book is very helpful to me. By using a different review book, I feel as though I'm being better tested on my knowledge of the subject, rather than what I had just read. Sometimes questions from the same review books are straight from the text and you remember reading the sentence that the question is about, by using the different review book I don't have that luxary (as would be the same case during the national registry testing). This book tests you on every chapter within the Brady paramedic book. It's a great way to find your weaknesses and to know what you need to study up on. At the end of each chapter is an answer key with the correct answer, and the reason of why it's the correct answer, and includes a corresponding page reference to the Brady book. If you're using the Brady book I'd still recommend this purchase. The questions within this book are not intended to be a preview of the national registry test, as there are some matching questions. Overall I think this is a great book for any paramedic student to purchase, regardless of what textbook you're using, as long as you can find an affordable price.
