This review is from: SUNPAK 040M 35mm Electronic Power Zoom Flash with LCD (SUNPAK 040M) (Electronics)
The Flash isn't too bad, it is great for the price i got it at ($3 at a second hand store). This was the first flash i got to use digital controls on (been using a 285HV for a while). The one thing i don't like about this flash is the recycle time, its long, like 8 seconds with a fresh rechargeable batteries and don't get me started on when the batteries are getting close to being dead. Personally i like the flash only cause i got it so cheap, i am sure there are other people who like it for other reasons...i think Minolta should have stuck with a more normal hot-shoe as well, but its all good, i think that the way this hot-shoe locks is better than the conventional screw tops i am use to. Anyway, for lighting up a room or just for fill this flash will do it as long as you know how to use it. There is a nice added feature to this flash i like, the HV port, that will make the flash recycle a lot faster.
