I saw this product on Television, and got curious. I found out that Amazon is a great place to see what others think of a product before I try it out. The pads were a tarry brown for the first three days. After that, I decided to cut back to three days a week, because of cost, and, if I use them too often, I begin to feel drained! A friend of mine with essential tremor tried them out. His tremors were reduced bigtime after the fourth application.

I really try to avoid ever saying or writing "I told you so" but this is the rare exception. I can't help myself. To all those who disagreed with my negative review (some strongly disagreed but almost all remained polite - thank you), the ABC "20/20" review of this product of Friday, April 12th proved me correct. The product is bogus, very clever but still bogus. I had written the ingredients inside the bag are bark and root of a particular type of tree that turns to gooey gunk when heated and made wet. Also inside the packet are "pebbles" of one of the three rocks found in nature that naturally emit heat.

One of the others is uranium (deadly) but, fortunately, this rock is harmless. Stuck to the bottom of your feet overnight the rocks add to the heat already on the bottom of your feet (your feet are already among the warmest parts of your body, that's why feet smell! By morning the "detox pads" have turned to yucky, sticky brown gunk. You're told that gunk is toxicity pulled from the body. No, it's the bark and tree root having gotten wet (from sweat). Notice the abundance of testimonials but no definitive lab results of what that gunk is. Test it yourself. Put body temperature salt water (simulating sweat) on a pad and you get the same brown, yucky gunk! It is a scam.

The TV program "20/20" did this test plus sent a "morning after" pad to a real lab and it confirmed NO TOXINS, just brown yucky gunk from the tree material turned to liquid. As I told many people who were adamant to the extreme, if you think it helps and makes you feel better, the price may be worth it just for that alone. There are hundreds (thousands?) of "feel better medications" marketed that make many people feel better but are actually worthless.

Yes, I've been tricked too! For instance, I also debunked the ionic foot bath having to buy one to see what really made it tick. After wasting $500 on "treatments". It is simply the process of electrolysis (making rust) sped up 10,000 times. The gunk in the water is what you see on a corroded battery. The probe in the water is made of dissimilar metals. Low voltage run through a connection of two dissimilar metals with a small amount of resistance between the two create the "gunk".

If the battery connection was tight and the resistance zero ohms then no gunk. I have medical problems that cause a build-up of toxins in my body. I hope no one is offended by this "I told you so" post but I just could not resist after watching "20/20. It's a "sugar pill" but harmless and not expensive.

my boyfriend and I tried these after reading other positive reviews of this product (the 20 pack), and we noticed a serious improvement with our energy levels and mood after just 1 use. i have cold feet at night, and as soon as i put the pads on my feet, there's an interesting tingling sensation that migrates down my leg to my feet. Anyone who is familiar with acupuncture will recognize the sensation. After 10 minutes of this, my foot would become a normal temperature (when they'd usually stay cold the whole night). My boyfriend also noted this sensation, and though his feet get warm at night, he was not uncomfortable in any way wearing the pads.

i noticed that there is a direct relationship between the color of the pad (the amount of material absorbed by the pad) and the positive benefits. (meaning the darker the pad, the more detoxing occurred, and the lighter the pad the less i needed to use the product). I also rotated use of the pad around my foot and noticed the same trend -- whenever i migrated the pad to a new spot, the pad would always start out quite dark, and gradually become lighter with repeated use in that spot.

the only downside to this product is that the pads do smell a bit like bbq sauce, but that goes away as soon as you wash the feet with soap and water.

i would recommend starting out with a smaller pack to anyone who is curious.

I bought these detox patches for my mother who has arthritis among other problems. She says she feels better when she uses the patches.

I do believe there is more than just the sweat of the feet causing the brownish color BECAUSE eventually they are white in color when you are done detoxing. And I too noticed a huge difference in my mornings. But we are all different and react differently.

You may feel tired in the morning, but you will have your energy back soon. Sometimes you just feel the change in you face.

I used these with an open mind and I do not feel like they did anything for me. When you see the dark grime on the bottom of these alot of people don't realize it is the tourmaline doing that not the toxins coming out of you. It may work and I just didn't know it but I didn't feel it either way.

I found that after using these foot patches for a few days I felt I had more energy during the day and was sleeping better at night. Coincidence? Maybe. But I'll still use them. I did try to used them during the day once which was a big mistake!! The brown goo leaked out onto my socks!! I don't know why they turn brown, if they're really "pulling out toxins" or if it has some herbal stuff that absorbs into your body - I really don't care. As long as I feel better. And even after wearing them for a couple of months I didn't notice them getting any lighter. Again, doesn't really matter to me. I think they're worth it, even if it's all in my head!

I used this for a while and everyday it becomes dark - either my toxicity levels are at a 100% - or this is a sham. It seems that the patch becomes dark as it reacts with your sweat during the night. I never felt any changes after 3 weeks of continuous usage.

What really impressed me with the use of this patch was not the discoloration you see after use (I read somewhere that it was a scam) but the effect it had on me after use. Strangely enough, I was able to sleep much better as one of its claims. Also, I started my day refreshed and more energized. I will continue using the patches and see if the effects that I feel will continue.
