I have used these cameras for years for my front and back doors. The ones i purchased had a 100' of cord. You connect the one plug into a tv, and the other into electic outlet. The camera has good vision and in color and also picks up sounds. You can even hear the neighborhood cats meowing. The camera is infrared so it works at night. I have not used it to record, but I think it does that. I use it to keep a watch on my doors. Let's me decide if i want to answer my door. The camera if you install under the over head the weather does not impact it all. Mine have lasted for years. For the price this one is a real deal!!!
