These adapters work as advertised, not there are a lot of reasons they shouldn't. Other than some kind of manufacturing defect I don't see how these things can't do what they are supposed to.
I bought them so I could match KVM cables from one manufacturer to a KVM from a different manufacturer. I'm going to have to purchase a few more now that I tested them and they work.

Great little VGA/SVGA fem/fem gender switcher ...awesome price and it works as advertized ...also nice that it has threaded lock-downs so cable can't pull apart if your using this to extend a male-terminated cble with another male-terminated cable. Simple and handy device.
