Product Description

Have you ever thought about how to keep the perfect quality of your old photographs forever? Scanning all the prints too time-consuming and processing the films in a lab too expensive? Then here comes a unique film scanner right for you: SVP FilmScan35-II-2.4-TV out! SVP FilmScan35-II-2.4-TV out is a innovative standalone film scanner that instantly converts 35mm film negatives and slides into digital images without the need for a computer or application software. Now you can preserve all their photo memories by turning the millions of photographs now stored on slides and negatives into digital images to preserve them forever. We have created a very simple-to-use device that works right out of the box and produces a five-megapixel digital image in five seconds at a push of a button. The device features a 5mpix scanning chip (i.e. 2592x1680 pixels, 3600 dpi) producing the images large enough to be printed on a A4 page! Unlike similar devices currently on the market, the SVP FilmScan35-II-2.4-TV out does not require a computer or learning a new software program, and it takes very little space to operate, store or transport. The SVP FilmScan35-II-2.4-TV out is uniquely designed with a built-in 2.4-inch color LCD screen for viewing and editing, and a memory card reader that saves the converted images directly onto SD memory cards. Within seconds, users can view their scanned photos through a digital picture frame or upload to a computer. It's designed to be used right out of the box by simply plugging it into an AC outlet.

Amazon Verified Purchase
I did 1186 slides with this scanner. It is easy to work with and does a truly amazing job! Unfortunately, My correspondence with TECH support was not just bad, but TERRIBLE. After my trying more than once to get a simple answer, I never heard back from them. EVEN though I said I would publish a BAD report. They apparently DON'T CARE. My problem with the SVP was that occasionally the software FREEZES. I thought the software could be updated. I also wanted to know if I oould buy extra slide holders. Now that is not a seriour request, BUT they never responded. SO if TECH support is important to you, DON'T buy this product. EVEN though it is a REALLY goood unit. One good thing about this product is that even when the software freezes, you can still download the slides you have already scanned. It would be nice if Amazon would get on their CASE and find out why they can't AT LEAST respond to their e mails.

Complete Waste Of Time August 2, 2009
I had hoped that I'd get a somewhat respectable scan from my slides, but I was sorely disappointed in the outcome. The item is very easy to use, and the included software is OK but the scans came out muddy and lacked any detail. I experimented with multiple settings but to no avail.

I would not recommend this item to anyone for any reason. I'll just go back to having my slides digitally done with professional duplication firms. It may cost more but at least I can use them and not have to guess whay the content is.

I love this scanner. It has helped me get my slides into my computer and organized in a way I never thought possible. The only draw back is that it only comes with 1 slide and 1 negative tray. I can't find any more.
