We've literally put scanning into the palm of our customers' hands, and we think this new technology achievement will bring scanning to the masses. The SVP FS-1700 is uniquely designed with a built-in 2.4-inch color LCD screen for viewing and editing, and a memory card reader that saves the converted images directly onto SD memory cards. Within seconds, users can view their scanned photos through a digital picture frame or upload to a computer. It's designed to be used right out of the box by simply plugging it into an AC outlet, OR USB port, OR even with AAA alkaline batteries. Unlike similar devices currently on the market, we've literally put scanning into the palm of our customers' hands and now you can scan your photo anywhere you like.

The scanner alone is good and fulfills our expectations. It's weak points are the imperfect instruction manual and the fact that we ordered (and paid for) it together with a 8 GB memory card, our order was confirmed, but we obtained a card with only 2 GB capacity.

THE SLIDE TRAY IS TORTURE. DIFFICULT TO OPEN AND THE DEPRESSIONS FOR SLIDES ARE TO LOW TO HOLD SLIDE SECURELY WHEN CLOSING...BUT..
WORSE YET IS: 1) SCANNING "STANDARD" 2" X 2" POSITIVE 35MM SLIDES IT SHRINKS THE WIDTH ABOUT 10% AND YOU HAVE TO GO INTO SOFTWARE AND RESTORE THE WIDTH....WHICH CAUSES YOU TO LOSE ABOUT 1/2 THE RESOLUTION. 2) WHEN TRYING TO GET HELP FROM SVP ABOUT THIS PROBLEM YOU JUST GET IGNORED
