Rooster Weather Vane,

Weather is VERY well made. Very good construction. Very little assembly required. Arrived in excellent condition. Very well packaged. Mine has been up for several months now, in ALL kinds of weather, and it still looks the same.

The weathervane is cute, as you can see from the photos. It's not evident from the description, but the item is made from pretty lightweight steel, easily bendable with your hands. This is not a problem once it's one the roof.
I was very disappointed in the packaging and customer service. Despite paying $14 for shipping and handling, the item was poorly packed and arrived bent and with badly scratched paint. I contacted customer service. They wanted me to pay for shipping the item back to them, and after they received it, they might send me a replacement, as if it were my fault they packed it badly! It was less time, money and hassle to just buy a can of spray paint, so that's why mine is black in the photo above. We are pleased with the way it looks, and it's just the right size (and price) for our chicken coop. Appearance-wise, it's a decent value for the money. Don't count on it to tell you what's happening with the weather--the weathervane part is tail-heavy, and ours has never moved, even in strong winds.

This is a good weather vane. I put it on the roof of a two story shed and it has been through a few storms this winter. It still works great. If I had it to do over, I would paint it a different color. There are tall trees in back of it and it is hard to see. Black might be OK in front of a blue sky, but one seldom looks at the weather vane when the sky's are blue. White would be a better color.
