We're all grateful that our administrator bought this heavy-duty hole-puncher for our research group. While there's a limit on how many papers it can punch at one time, it takes a lot more than the standard punchers. The paper fits into a slot and the punchers are preset, making this easier to use as well. Additionally, the push-down handle uses torque to efficiently transfer energy to the puncher mechanism. If you have a lot of punching at your home or office, and, especially if someone else pays for it, this is a very useful office supply to own!

This punch is poorly designed. To use it,you have to navigate past the handle which is placed almost on top of the loader. Once you manage to load the paper and line it up. You then have to press this awkward handle. To punch through the paper you have to bash your fingers on the table. Nice design. Like I said. Don't waste your money.

This works great but doesn't last long--mine just died after 8 months of use by one person. The pieces that hold the punch heads in place just become lose and break off. I heard something rattling around inside the punch and the plastic piece had come apart and the metal pin and fallen out. The company says that what breaks off is still part of the punch head and therefore no warranty--not even 90 days. The cost of replacing the punch heads is almost the online cost of the punch itself--so be prepared to replace the unit after 12 months of regular use.
