My cable came with only XP and 2000 compatible software (thus four stars instead of five). Fortunately, Samsung has Vista-compatible software on their website.
After installing the correct software, the cable worked fine. All in all, a much cheaper and faster way to get the pictures off my phone than by sending a bunch of multimedia messages to myself.

I ordered this cable because my Samsung phone does not have a removable memory card. This cable and software allows easy transfer between your cellphone and PC- easy to add pictures or music as well as editing your phone contacts. This cable really should come with your phone at the time of purchase.

It works very well, with the type of phone I have, it doesn't do everything, but that's fine with me.
