This is something new in a word game. It's kind of like backwards Scrabble. You place down the tiles at random, then take turns finding and covering up the words on the board you've just made.

You can get up and running in about a minute, and it takes 15-20 minutes to play again.

There's something about this that feels like a "beach house" game.

Although it has a lot of depth to it, it's not intense in the way that Scrabble or Boggle is. It's kind of relaxing... but you still have to pay attention to win.

...and it's a beautiful box and set of pieces.

I'm always looking for word games to use in my classroom and I'm so glad I took a chance on this one. This game is just like a "word search" (third graders love those) so it's an easy one for kids to learn. The tiles and clear markers are very durable and I have no doubt that they'll last a long time. The best part is how the game adjusts itself to the level of the kids playing it--lower level learners just naturally look for easier, shorter words while higher level learners naturally try for longer and more challenging words. Also, this two player game can be easily expanded to four players by creating teams. I think this is a wonderful word game and I'm sure I'll be using it with my students for many years to come!
